this beer pours a nice golden color with a nearly white head that recedes to a ring of lace. the aroma is really pretty decent, lots of noble hops very aromatic for an english ale. the taste is sufficient for an english ale but nothing to write home about the not a lot of malt character, but still not a bad flavor with the bright hop finish. the light body and low carbonation are good for the style, and i wouldn't mind finding it on cask.

A: Hazy orange with a foamy white head.

S: Big orange presence in the nose, with citric hoppiness, strawberry, grass, and lemon.

T: A slight pleasant bitterness, with citrus nose dominating taste, along with fruity esters, berries and a touch of grass upon a malty backbone.

M: Medium-light bodied, pretty smooth.

O: Delicious. I would definitely recommend picking this up if you can find it.

Note: Recommended with other Wychwood beers (especially hobgoblin and king goblin) whilst watching Tolkien adaptations (my friends and I put on the hobbit cartoon, this was a few years ago).

Appearance - Pours a very dark amber/copper color with almost no head. Leaves a nice, creamy lacing behind.

Smell - Sweet, earthy, and bitter.

Taste - Has a subtle sweetness, with citrus and orange zest. It's very earthy, with bready malts, and has a nice, light bitterness in the finish. Has somewhat of a floral flavor too.

Mouthfeel - Light bodied with low carbonation.

Overall - This is one of the best pale ales I've ever tried. Simple and delicious.
