25th Feb 2012: Hand pulled pint in The Raven, a sports pub in Wellington: Shropshire.

Light golden/amber body with a full but thin white crown of bubbles.

Mixed bag in the aroma: malty molasses blend in with a floral/citrus hop smell, the malts being slightly stronger.

The taste is also a blend of the aforementioned flavours: a malty sweetness mixed in with a hop semi-bitterness with an almost sour/dry finish.

Body depth was good; this is a nicely put together brew (473 characters)

Served from a cask into a pint glass in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

A: Gold transparent colour, thick head of fair retention.

Sm: Fresh barley; hops. Usual suspects.

T: Hoppy. A bit bland, truth be told. Watery. Bitter on the finish.

Mf: Smack-thine-lips fantastic. Best part of the beer. Chewy.

Dr: Low ABV; cheap enough. Too bland to have again. (356 characters)

16 ounce pint - $6.75 at Taco Mac in Woodstock, Georgia.

Appearance: Amber-brown body with admirable clarity and a one-third inch, ivory-hued head.

Smell: Little to note or notice, with just a bit of toast dust and tired, old herbs.

Taste: A very subtly flavored beer, to say the least, hinting at light toast and nominal darkened grains all awash with distilled water. The world's smallest hint of cocoa. Herbal, earthy hops, very mild, mind you, and with only a thin sliver of nearly imperceptible bitterness. Finishes dry, near-empty finish with a last trace of herbs.

Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Lightly carbonated.

Drinkability: A real snoozer, but it's pretty on-par with the rest of their line-up. Not only does Dirty Tackle not "tackle your taste buds", it barely even tickles them. (792 characters)

Served at cellaring temperature in a goblet. Poured a glowing amber with a generous 2 fingers of rocky tan head. Lacing is great, retention is good.

Smells strongly of sweet malt and spices.

Taste starts with sweet buttery malts, and finishes with a complexity of spice and sharp bitter hops. Taste is very balanced.

Mouthfeel is sticky, medium bodied. Carbonation is a bit weak.

Drinkability is good. This is a great cask bitter. (442 characters)
