330ml bottle into a teku. No idea as to age, but years rather than months.
Looks okay in the glass. Slightly hazy pale honey colored body. Small white head fizzes away quite quickly, no lacing.
Even smells of honey, which is odd, since no honey was used in production.
On tasting, quite tart and sour. Rice can be detected. It's also very dry. A faint apple note.
Mouth medium, finish is pleasant, tart and extremely drying.
Overall, certainly glad to have tried it. Some interesting nuances. Aroma nowhere near matches the taste or finish.

Pours light amber with a 1/4 inch wispy, white head, which dissipates. No lacing. Cloudy.
Aroma is sour grapes, sour apples, yeast.
Taste is quite sour. Sour grapes, sour apples, yeast. Distinctly tea-like. No noticeable rice.
Thin to medium bodied, little to no carbonation. Dry, tart finish.
A bit of a disappointment. Not worth the 13 bucks I paid for a 11.2 oz. bottle.

Reviewing from a tasting a few weeks ago
What the fuck is this. This is why I love these guys.
It pours a relatively opaque lemon-lime fizzy strangeness. Looks like a gatorade. Smells like limes. Upon first sip I realize it's possible the tartest and sourest beer I've ever had. Tastes like soured limes. Not necesarily a bad thing.
No clue how to characterize this creation, nevermind how to rate it. Would I try it again? No. But I'm glad I did.

Poured a clear straw gold body with light head and lace and had this floral aroma that also was musty and even sour at times. This beer is smooth, easy to drink, there is a sweetness in the beer that is light but not malty or sugary or even fruity and there is a tint of rice and a acidic citric bite in the finish. Interesting beer as it isn't overly sour or puckering but has notes of that nor is it sweet but it has sweetness; as for flavor profile I really couldn't pinpoint anything. With all that said (typed), I enjoyed this beer and I would recommend to it anyone who likes a light beer and some interesting flavors.

On cask. Very clean, smooth, light and refreshing. All the comforting flavors of green tea and a touch of sake to boot. Really nice.

oh my goodness was i lucky to stumble into this one at back country pizza in boulder. on cask, i dont know how these guys wheel such insane beers, but they do, and its amazing. this is apparently a collaboration with the hitachino nest folks in japan, very neat. a rice berliner with limes, i love the concept and the execution is just as good. its milky white, starchy like rinsed rice water, and the head is short but persistent, very very cloudy but no visible sediment. it smells like limes all the way, roadside limeade is what i get, with a pucker that goes well beyond the citrus into the heave lacto realm, but the beer still is quite delicate despite the intense flavors. it has perhaps one of the more interesting flavors in any berliner i can recall, the rice does a lot more for the feel than the taste i think, but with the lime being so fresh and acidic, and the lacto kicking so much butt, it seems just right. soft in feel, but fuller in body, thats the starch i think, with the acidity cutting it beautifully in the puckery finish. i think the cask is what makes this feel so amazing. its just delicate and bold at the same time, and not anything like any other beer ive ever had or heard of, berliner, rice, cask, or otherwise. for all the expensive misses ive had from ducato, its beers like this that keep me buying and stoked to buy, this is absolutely lights out. scram down there and get one while its still on, you will not regret it!
