From the great long neck bottle into a Sam Adam's pint glass (thank you Beer-bash 2011)

Visual (5): Incredible looking lager. Golden hue that is lighter at the bottom of the glass and darker at the top. Very active carbonation over the entirety of the glass. White pillow-y head that lasts and leaves a nice lacing on the glass. Low clarity and foggy. Looks extremely inviting.

Aroma (3.5): Hay & grain malts with a presiding light fresh hop; almost pine-y. Smells very crisp.

Taste (4): Malty lager flavour with a great striking hop balance. The hops are present, as they should be in a pilsener, and give a fresh flavour that is reflective of the nose. Hops tend to hint at almost a fruity bitterness, with the taste lasting on the sides of the tounge

Mouthfeel (3): Mainly dry with a crisp initial touch. Watery overall, but not too easily drinkable. Withholds some complexities on the pallet that are missed in other macro-pilseners.

Overall (4): A pilsener I would have again, if not for the fantastic appearance but also the subtle complexity and fresh flavours. Although not a direct emulation of the Czech style, a fantastic rendition of it.

This is a quite nice, hoppy and unfiltered pilsner. Strong hoppy aroma with a little citrus as well. Yeast does a good job of clinging to the bottle so though while unfiltered it's not cloudy and full of yeast.
Nice full hop flavor with a good pilsner malt base that perhaps is just a little thin and not as rich as it should be.
Nice firm bitterness in the end that's a little above your average pils but not astringent. Very enjoyable.
Really not a Czech pils, too light in color, too light in body, and without a rich enough malt body. Solid German pils though, even if lacking that good German pils malt body.
I should add that the price, even in Italy, is laughable and even as good as this beer is I'll likely never buy another bottle. €4.90 for one 33cl bottle.

A - Golden yellow with a few fine white and persistent foam. Very clear with no residual!!

S - The classic smells of pils: withe flower, herbaceous by hop and a little of citrus.

T - Herbaceous is evident but come out also a little malty flavour that enrich the beer.

M - A weak body but also an high level of bitterness especially in the aftertaste make this beer a perfect pils!!

D - It's impossible to drink only one pilsner beer if it's made in the right way.. and this is!!
