A- Clear orange, gold hints if seen through light. Quite big head with fine and dense small bubbles. Good retention and enough lacing
S- Hoppier than expected. Fresh grass aroma, with some spicy notes underneath (sure pepper, maybe others). I'm also noticing some fruit hints, with lemon and maybe orange peel. Very lively and fresh
T- As the smell suggested malts are on the low side with a bit on an american IPA character, withouth being so bitter. Hops bring a fresh herbal feel and some light bitter undernotes (grapefruit maybe?); then spices (i still can clearly detect only pepper) bring complexity and a warming feel. More bitterness in the aftertaste. This beer is something in the middle between a Saison, a spiced beer and an IPA
M- The beer has a light body (quite too light to be fitting it's character in my opinion). It still feels enough rich on the mouth, thanks to it's smooth head and to lively carbonation on the back of the palate
O- An interesting and possibly unique take on the Saison style; peculiar but still an easy drinker. A stronger malt character would bring more complexity in my opinion

Look: Pours with huge fizzyish, medium sized bubbles white head. Rocky slow retention, breaking down into big bubbles that leave fat, thick layer on the top at the end. Cloudy, copper, wheat dark yellow with fair amount of carbonation and lacing.
Smell: Chamomile! Rancid chamomile. Feels kinda stuffy, like a chamomile tea left too long to brew. Overall herbal feel, with earthy, floral, light lemon, white wine and peppery notes. Some funky yeasty notes hidden in the herbal part.
Taste: More pepper, gingery than in the smell, herbal part a bit smoother. Rich medium sweet malty part combined with strong herbal notes make an unique herbal teal like feeling, which doesn't really fly in my book. Light-med noble hop bitterness with some malt/wheat sweetness at the end. Sweetness goes into the sour zone with few sips.
Mouthfeel: Medium carbonation, medium body, still relatively smooth. Not too much going on tho.
Overall: Chamomile! They dominate over all other and combined with the rich malt backbone make a descent herbal tea. It is interesting, but doesn't appeal to me. Don't associate herbal chamomile tea with something pleasant - rancid remedy for stomach ache.

On tap at The Blue Monk in Buffalo, NY.
Foamy pour, 3-4 inches of head. Light golden amber color to this one. Good lacing down the glass.
Smells spicy, peppery, with some apples, pears, and Belgian yeast.
The taste is pretty similar- very peppery and prickly taste to this one. Some ginger and what I guess is coriander, and some citrusy goodness as well, orange and lemon.
Full, pretty creamy mouthfeel, full body, well carbonated.
My first Italian craft beer, and it's a good one. Saisons will never be my favorite style, but I can still really appreciate this one.
