On tap at the brewpub.
Pours a cloudy orange with minimal head and lacing. Meh.
Smell is clove and nutmeg, a bit wheaty. Not super enticing.
Taste is pretty offensive. Tons of clove, nutmeg and cinnamon, paired with a sweet, smoky, funky, earthiness. Goddamn it, this tastes EXACTLY like a Honeybaked ham. I had high hopes for this beer since I'm a fan of the style, and couldn't wait to try a local version. I do not want to drink this. If there had been a drain nearby, this might have been my first ever drainpour.
Mouthfeel was creamy and smooth, but I couldn't pay much attention to it as I was trying to choke the beer down as quickly as possible.
I'd imagine this would be pretty drinkable if you could tolerate the taste, but I really couldn't.
I don't think there was anything wrong with the way this beer was stored or served, so I'm not sure why my review is so drastically different than the others on here, but this beer was inexcusable. I didn't detect any of the sourness and very little of the citrus mentioned in other reviews. The number one adjective I would use to describe this brew is "meaty," and that is not something I look for in my saisons.
I understand it's a farmhouse ale, but that doesn't mean it has to taste like the inhabitants of said structure.

Draught at the brewpub. Opaque gold color with almost no head. Spicy and yeast aroma with plenty of cinnamon and orange. The flavor starts out with some sweetness that has plenty of spice and orange as well. Finishes dry and clean with some lingering spice, and just a hint of sticky citrus. Medium bodied. I'm getting to like saison, and this is a nice drinkable beer. Rerate: coming back to this again, it seems quite sweet and orange flavored in comparison with a classic example of the style like Dupont, not quite as try and quenching and almost into witbier territory, but I liked it no less because of it. Just enough spice to cut the orange and sweetness.

Consumed 05/25/08.
A cloudy lemon-yellow color with plenty of active carbonation. Head is constantly replenished, leading to decent lacing.
Aroma of wheat.
Sourness is evident on first taste, though not overpowering. Wheat tanginess. A hint of cheese.
Nice stab at the style, though not as light and refreshingly tart as the best examples. Maybe subsequent batches will hit closer to the target, though this one is certainly drinkable enough if this is a style of beer you are into.

Very drinkable brew, just not inspired.
A - Slight orange tint to a basically hazy yellow body. Small head that disappears quickly.
S - Light citrus and hops.
T - Mellow citrus, hops, wheat flavor. Fairly dry. Very smooth.
M - Light as heck.
D - Extremely. The Fairview seems to be brewed with drinkability in mind. It's less spicey and adventurous than any other saison I've had.
