Lots of head that stays a long time ! Many different subtle flavors, Im not good enough to say what exactly but some fruits and some kind of spice, pine or pepper? It feels light. Interesting to drink, I like it.

9 Dec 2017. From Cervezalandia. In Teku glass. Light funky notes, with more prominent notes of fruity esters like those in a belgian pale ale.High carbonation that difficults its drinking

An off tasting IPA come saison crossover that is not worth the entry fee and won't be purchased again. The alcohol stands at 8.8% and not 7.50% as it states here. Regardless, it doesn't save it.

Like a few other folks here, I bought this bottle from the LCBO. Standard 500ml bottle with a label design that doesn't do anything for me. Smells just a little bit funky, but nothing too wild. Generally smooth not very carbonated mouthfeel. The flavour is more toward the Belgian Ale on the spectrum of Trappist to Farmhouse Funk, however not excessively so. I get a strong feeling of apricots, and not much else. I would say overall it's a little bland, but that may be a good thing, considering this is a 8.8% ABV beer that definitely doesn't taste like one.

Wildly effervescent, pouring a huge thick head with good retention, snow white, and a hazy, peach fuzz body.
A luscious, fruity aroma of peach, pineapple, mango, and a bit of pine.
Soft fruit flavours with a distinct hop finish and plenty of alcohol heat - not your typical saison. Mouthfeel is light but full, slightly oily. Incredible length. Flavours evolve over time, of peach, pine, straw, grapefruit, cotton candy. Although none of them are particularly strong, it doesn't get the palate jumping.
Overall it has some backbone, but not tons of flesh.

500 ml bottle served cold into a tulip. Purchased from the LCBO for around $7 CDN. Listed as 8.8% ABV and best before January 2019.

Appearance - pale, hazy but bright golden color. Loads of carbonation and coalesces with a magnificent rocky finger and a half of some of the densest froth I've ever seen. Gat retention and loads of lacing wrap around the glass.

Smell - earthy, yeasty and fruity, near a cross between a tripel and a traditional farm house. Hints of lemon and a powdery, doughy quality too.

Taste - light and earthy with lots of grassy flavor too. Hints of flower petals but flavor is thinner than expected. Trace of lemon and white pepper for good measure. Bitterness is middling across the board. Booze is well hidden.

Mouthfeel - light with spritzy carbonation. The big ABV is wonderfully disguised. Finish is fairly dry but body has a juicy quality. Impressive stuff. Big booze only noticeable after a couple of sips and the gentle burn lingers in the back of the throat.

Overall - impressive stuff. Wish the flavor was a little more robust, but the feel and aroma are fantastic in additional to thee pecten great appearance. Worth a try and nice to see these guys back in local markets as Amager doesn't really put out any substandard beers.

Pours a slightly cloudy straw color with just about a thumb's worth of head. Head breaks quickly, leaving a small cap and there is some decent lacing along the way. The smell is mild brett with some nice earthy and citrus elements present as well. One can definitely call this a saison just from the smell. Taste is funky up front, then you get some citrus from the hops and the sweet and spice expected in a saison come along to reassure you. This beer has full carbonation, and the feel is about medium. An incredibly dry finish and only a hint of the 8.8% abv noticeable.

A good beer. it took a few extra sips for me to really enjoy this, and I suggest letting it warm a little.

500 mL bottle from the LCBO; a sticker slapped onto the label indicates an abv of 8.8%. Best before Jan 2019. Served slightly chilled, and reviewed on my phone.

Pours a turbid apricot yellow hue, initially supporting one finger of loose white froth atop. It has largely vanished within a few minutes' time, soon being replaced with a smooth cap and collar consisting of a fine-bubbled foam; a modest swath of lacing is also left behind. I'm getting distinct aromas of lemon zest and mild Brett funk, in addition to hints of wheaty grain sweetness, orange peel, sour peach, white pepper, mango and wet, grassy hay. Yeasty and quite fragrantly fruity overall; very nice.

Much the same can be said of the flavour profile, which commences with citrusy notes of lemon pith and grapefruit, interspersed amidst wheaty grains, peach, cantaloupe and mildly tart green apple flesh. This transitions into a yeastier, hoppier flavour on the back end; quite floral and grassy, with some peppery spice and gentle phenolics. Finishes fruity and slightly funky, with a dry aftertaste that leaves the palate feeling ripe for another sip. Medium in body, with moderately assertive carbonation that feels prickly on the tongue and scrubs the palate after each gulp. Damn tasty, with no sign of the 8.8% whatsoever; this is a textbook example of a dangerous beer, because it also goes down the hatch virtually effortlessly.

Final Grade: 4.23, an A-. Winter tends to be a bit of a low point as far as saison availability is concerned. Tulsa Twister is the first new one I've sampled in more than a few months, and I have to say it scratched the itch quite effectively. It's fruity and almost juicy at times, yet finishes bitter and dry, with a light spiciness and an understated Brett funkiness. Despite being rife with contradiction, it all comes together into a coherent (and tasty) whole. Worth a go, for sure.

A 500ml bottle, batch no. 865 with a best before date of September 2017. Poured into a d’Achouffe tulip glass.

Appearance: A cloudy golden yellow orange colour with a big fluffy three finger white head that has great retention and left some thick lacing.

Aroma: Funky, tropical mango plus citrus orange and lemon.

Taste: Funky, grassy, hay, orange, lemon, floral and pepper spice.

Mouthfeel: Dry, light bodied with high carbonation.

Overall: An enjoyable collaboration between two great breweries. The pepper was perhaps a touch too overpowering, but its still a nice Saison to drink.
