Pours black with a dark tan head.
Nose shows cocoa, chocolate liqueur, sweet bready malt and heavy roast. Some hot booze too.
Flavours focus on the heavy roast followed by a strong, hoppy bitterness.
Some toasty notes.
Nice creamy carbonation.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing opaque black in the glass with a thin brown head with good retention and light lacing. Nice aroma of sweet dark toasted malt, chocolate, hints of caramel and some char. Flavor is well toasted dark malt, boiled coffee, bitter chocolate, burnt toast; finishes with a lingering charred malt and hop bitterness, somewhat dry. Nice medium to heavy body with light creaminess. A nice highly toasted dark stout with good char and distinctive hop bitterness, although without any herbal hop flavors. Hopping is supported well by the hefty, flavorful malt body. This is an older bottle, which may be why there is little left of the hop flavors, but they are still quite present in their bittering role. Nicely done collaboration.

650ml bottle - Thanks to Humlelala. Wine glass. Pours pure black in color headed by light brown - toffee like- foam. Crown is very close, thick, creamy, sticky & lasting. Rocky spots are left on sides. Amazing aroma profile displays caramel, toasted & roasted malt aromas, fudge chocolate, toffee & herbal hues, hints of smoke & burnt notes, as well as ripe banana on the back when warm. Chocolated sweet upfront but arising herbal bitterness moves it out. Full body. Soft carbonation. Superb mouthfeel is silky while viscous in texture. Creamy malt, slight citric & bitter cocoa flavors rounded by subtle woody touch resolves in a long bitter finish. Incredibly well integrated ABV is felt as a gentle heat through the throat. Dried aftertaste shows dried nut & sharp bitterness made of resinous & burnt notes. For a long & paused drink where every flavorful & complex sip is enjoyed. No doubt, this is one of the best I´ve ever had. I´m still shocked!!

The beer is black in color with a small tan head. Roasted malt, cocoa, and maybe some coffee. Still decently hoppy with some pine and earthy aromas. A bit of licorice and light malt/toffee sweetness. Fairly bitter on the palate. Lots of pine and earth tones from the hops. Quite a bit of roasted malt, maybe some chalk, dark chocolate, and licorice. Some toffee sweetness, but relatively mild on the sweetness.
