Bottle: Poured a clear brown color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some minor lacing. Aroma of caramel malt with very subtle toffee notes is good enough. Taste is also dominated by caramel malt with very little residual sugars and some light toffee notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Typical winter warmer that doesn’t really stands out from the pack as much as I had hope considering the brewers involved.

Hazy dark brown colour with slightly red highlights. Large, fluffy light tan head.
Spicy aroma. Almost like rye but apparently not. Quite dry and earthy.
Again, this is spicy, dry and earthy. Not a lot of fruit or malt. The spice digs into the palate. Nice.
Medium body with moderate carbonation. Good.
A really solid beer. Spice notes work really well and the earthiness makes for something a bit different.

Bomber picked up at the brewery in Copenhagen. Brewed with Garrison Brewing Co. in Nova Scotia. Poured into a snifter...
A: Pours a clear copper, with about half a finger of cream-colored head.
S: Spice; graham cracker; pleasant, yet perhaps too light spice aroma.
T: Follows the nose; could stand a bit more malt and/or spice character; earthy hops round things out.
M: Moderate mouthfeel and carbonation.
O: A nice winter warmer, but maybe a bit light in the flavor and mouthfeel departments.
