Can served cold into a goblet.
The beer is a vibrant red color with a slight haze. The head is short but very creamy and leaves some good lacing behind.
Aroma is sweet and fruity with a hint of roasted malts. The cherries come through nicely.
Flavor is not as successful. It comes across as a brown ale with fruit added. Not all bad then but the roasted and caramel malts seem to get in the way of the fruit instead of supporting it.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and nicely carbonated. Well balanced but leaning towards the sweet.
Overall not a bad beer but it does make me curious about the Jolly Pumpkin version. It's much more expensive so I probably won't be trying it based on this.

12 oz can from "Lifesource" Salem. $2.69
Pours a murky amber with a large ,creamy light tan head.
Interesting aromas of cherry pits, mango and dark chocolate???
Flavour is very well balanced, malty, liquorice, dark tart cherries and pits,,slightly tart .
Mouthfeel is pretty nice..very little carbonation though.
Strange one..it wasn’t bad but i was not 100% convinced either.

Took a chance on an expensive 6 pack, was highly recommended. Commercial tugjob sounded like a good beer. Almost oud bruin/flanders like appearance. Has some dark cherry and brown malt aroma going for it.
All of a sudden the rug was pulled out from under me, most of the flavors were that infected/sour beer blended with a bunch of fresh not infected beer, soggy cardboard kind of drinking. The beer was too heavy and lacked a good tart edge to it that would have made it more enjoyable. There is too much sweetness and not enough tartness. Could use a little more carbonation too.
