The server advertised this as a more British-style IPA. Though it was notably less palate-wrecking than the typical India Pale of the Northwest, this beer was still plenty hoppy. A clear, light orange-amber color, it may feature some Noble hops like fuggle, but there are definitely some American varieties as well. The malt presence is nice but nothing special. Spicy and citrusy hops make for an interesting combination. This reminds me a bit of Goose Island's IPA. It is plenty different than what I am used to here in the PNW.

The tart, lime-zest flavor of this IPA caught me off guard. It came served flat with no head or lace in a shade of yellow-gray. The aroma spoke of wet grass with a parallel taste component. The mouthfeel was terse and the beer never bothered to assert hop character. Doesn't rise to the occasion of an IPA.
