Received a nice, almost midnight black body with a little brownish tint when held to light. A rocky head that dissipates fairly slow and leaves some lace patches. The smell was basic and rather non nose-catching, with basic malts coming through but nothing real noticeable.
This is a good, medium-bodied brew that had some creaminess and smoothness to it - malts noticable like chocolate, coffee and some roasted. It is a little simplistic, and there are better stouts out there. Still, a good beer and I wouldn't turn it down if offered again.

16 oz can, canned 5/26/2023, poured into a wine glass. Aroma of chocolate, light smoke, cold brew coffee. Taste is similar , with some hints of caramel. Low carbonation. Light feel. Overall, worth trying. Interesting.

Very good dark Lager. Some dark beers have what I call an ash tray taste. I don’t mean it’s bad, just my description. This beer has no ash tray taste. Not much to the nose and no real head poured out of a 16oz can into a pint glass. Amber hue is appealing. This beer looks like a stout but has more of a lager taste. Very drinkable!

Poured from the can into a pokal style glass.

Very nice topped brew, with a lathery rich three finger khaki colored head, slightly yellow with big bubbles and lots of popping. Mahogany body brown, with a bit of clarity as well towards the top. Nice looking schwarzbier.

Clean aroma and nice, but not much flavor and very subtle. Touches of light roast, a faint hint of milk chocolate also. But while nice a bit too closed.

Very odd palate. Very odd in flavor simply because… there's hardly anything going on at all. Very weak tasting, even with a supportive classic malt backbone, nearly tastes like nothing all. Faint ferrous and tinny qualities, flirting with copper penny, even with a clean finish.

Needs some work, but drinkable at least.

Black color. Not much head. A slight coffee and chocolate aroma. Dry malt and a grainy, woody flavor like their Oktoberfest had. Maybe all their beers taste this way. I’m underwhelmed by this one.

Can labeled as 6.0% ABV and 25 IBUs; I liked this beer except for the mouthfeel which was much too thin for the style

Jet black beer with a tan head that leaves no lacing. The aroma is pure coffee with some toasted malts and a tiny bit of cocoa. The taste is tangy with coffee and a light creamy sweetness. It tastes quite like a porter. This is a decent beer that has a good flavor.

Enjoyed from the tall boy can in a snifter. This nice schwarz pours a deep blackish brown with a moderate head of off white foam that settles to a thick ring, very light small pool, and light lacing. Nose features subtle cocoa and roasted malts with a touch of grains. Flavors lightly exceed the nose with cocoa and light coffee notes on all sides, grain notes hit on the sides and back with a touch of caramel malt. Decent mouth feel, medium carbonation, and a lightly bitter cocoa and bitter malt aftertaste. Overall it is decent, but nowhere near as good as the fest beer they once brewed.
