Deep chocolate brown, mocha head with some lacing. Chocolate, wood, vanilla and whiskey on the nose. Vanilla, milk chocolate, cocoa, good amount of oak, smooth bourbon notes. Maybe some figs at the back end. A little bit thin on the mouthfeel but it's ok, i like a velvety feel. Still, I am really enjoying this one.

22oz bottle poured into a snifter
A- pours pitch black in color with a small foamy khaki colored head that truces to a ring around the edge that sticks around long after the pour
S- smells of cocoa powder, roasted malt, dried fig, vanilla, bourbon barre 'juice,' hint of powdered cinnamon
T- cocoa powder mixes with fig up front, mid-palate brings out a bit of bourbon barrel that adds light vanilla, the finish is woody with more cocoa
M- medium body with low carbonation leads to a slightly foamy mouthfeel that continues into a slightly thin finish
O- straight forward and one dimensional at times, but has good drinkability

Pours a nice jet black. Nice khaki head that fades fast and sticks around the edges of the glass. Smells pretty nice. Some bourbon notes, with chocolate and vanilla. Tastes about the same. Definitely like this one. Nice cocoa and bourbon notes in the taste. Mouthfeel about normal for the style. Would like a little thicker, but not bad. Overall nice beer. Glad I got one

650 mL bottle. Black body. Smells of dark chocolate and coffee. Strong oak. Taste is strong whiskey. Milk chocolate. Light tang to it. Strong oak that’s a little sickly. Heavy body. A little chalky. It was ok cold, but it’s a little gross when it warms.

Pours a nice black color, decent head , but fades fast. Looks just like a good imperial stout, but it falls short in a few aspects.
Smell is very nice. Roasty and sweet, it gives the impression of a rich and hearty brew with huge complex flavors. I love the way this beer smells
Flavor falls short. It isnt complex at all. I get coffee, chocolate, red velvet cake, and a sort of cherry flavor. But its not very deep.
Mouthfeel is weak. It doesnt give any thickness that I want in the style, although it is only 8.5%
Overall I liked this beer somewhat, but there are finer examples out there.

The beer pours a nice black. Minimal head. Not a whole lot in the nose that is exceptional to point out. The feel is a fairly thin and the taste is one note and lacking some richness of other beers in the style
