On tap @ Tabor Tavern in Portland, OR
Appearance - Served up in a pint glass with a sparse layer of suds across the surface, this stout is near black with ruby brown edging where light can penetrate. Small, spotty lacing with poor stick.
Smell - Notes of roasted malt and coffee hit the nose with
Taste - Prominent coffee notes backed by some roasted malt and hints of dark chocolate. Finishes much the same.
Mouthfeel - Very thin for a stout, let alone an imperial. Moderate carbonation tingles as it goes down. Not completely terrible, just off for the style.
Overall - Not a bad flavor, though lacks the complexity common in the style, and the body just kills it. Not what I was expecting out of an imperial stout.

BAMMMM...I was have a couple different beers in the beer garden this weekend at Mnt. Bike OR. when two different people told me I needed to try the expresso....It outstanding.
appearance- black dark pour....One could say express black. It had a tan layor in the head that was like a nice toast.
Smell- I got a lot off coffee bean. Nothing else but one tasty shot.
Taste- COFFEE...with carmel swirled in on the back end.
Mouthfeel- It was filling but not chew through it beer if you follow me.
I strongly recommend this beer. It was the perfect answer to a great day on the single track trails.
Thanks for the great beer

Head poured nice and tan, light and fluffy with slight lacing on the glass, slowly melted away with rings in layers on the glass. Very smooth coffee smell, hint of chocolate. Taste is strong coffee up front with chocolate, toasty, slight malt in the end. Heavy mouthfeel, nice coat which dissipates quickly, slightly chewy. As it warms up coffee remains even more prominent, chocolate is harder to find but the roast is still there. I've had this in the past, both in bottle and on tap. It's good, it's not quite my go to stout but good on an occasion.

had this on tap at the oakshire hellshire release
Pours a rich dark black with almost no head, the little head quickly vanished into brown lacing.
lots and lots of coffee with some rich chocolate notes and matliness
lots of coffee flavor with a bit of chocolate and some bitterness from the coffee. Lots of rich malts.
a little bit bittter from the sheer amount of coffee but other than that nicely carbonated and a good thick richness.
overall a good beer. i'd love to see it barrel aged to tone down the bitterness a bit and bring out some more of the oak, vanilla and chocolate.
