Hazy gold with two fingers of white head. Good amount of lace. Smell is Mango some citrus. Taste is mango light bread some fruity hops. Good lightly bitter finish.
Mouthfeel thin with just enough carbonation. Overall an awesome beer for such a low abv.
Best sessionable IPA I've had to date.

Served in nonic. Poured a clean, clear pale yellow color, almost like a dark Pilsener, with about 1/2 inch of white head that had low-moderate retention and very light lacing.

Very little, if any, malt comes across the olfactory unit, but there is a multi-faceted blast of hops. Citrus, pine, floral and grapefruit are all there. Same on the tongue, although the grapefruit dominated the finish.

The body was medium-thin, more like a SoCal IPA than PNW IPA, and finished nicely dry. Drinkability was nice, about what you'd expect. Overall, while a pretty nice brew, it doesn't stand out from most other PNW regional IPAs, or even from other examples made by the this brewery. That said, certainly worth trying if you see it, and I'll probably be having a couple more.

Poured from 16oz tall can into a pint glass.

Appearance: medium golden hue with a light haze and lots of sediment floating around. Head is a finger of frothy white foam which dissipates somewhat quickly.

Smell: relatively strong aroma of dank/herbal hops atop a rather light malt aroma. Not bad, but like a lot of session IPAs the malt does not stand up enough to the hops.

Taste: herbal, piney and resiny hops atop a moderately sweet malt base. The flavor definitely works better than the aroma here; the overall effect is rather refreshing.

Mouthfeel: light body with a good carbonation and surprisingly satisfying creaminess. I like it.

Overall: a refreshing and tasty quaff. I see this as being a good summer beer.

Pours a light to medium golden amber with a surprisingly coarse one finger head that dissipated quickly to a finer thick white cap that had good retention and nice lacing. Nice aroma of citrus and tropical fruit, biscuit malt, lightly dank citrus hops with an odd overripe papaya component that was supported well enough to add interest. Flavor is light biscuit malt, overripe tropical and citrus fruit, citrus hops with mild notes of pine and herb. Light to medium bodied. A nice hopped session IPA on the lower malt end of the spectrum for this style, that was pleasant to drink, but made me wish for a little bit more of everything. I'm a fence sitting skeptic of this style and this one makes me wonder about the style. The flavors are all here, why not just boost it up a bit for a great flavor. I honestly think we need a session IPA style; I would have scored this higher that category, but would take almost any standard strength IPA of this. (I'm not a knee jerk hater, I just rated Crux's session IPA quite highly, it may be a matter of taste for the lighter malt varieties like this). I will absolutely be back for another fine Fort George ale, but not to this one.

16oz : tulip

Lightly hazy, golden yellow with a foamy white head.

Big fruity hops, peach, citrus, tropical blend. Light bready backbone in both the aroma and taste.

Medium body, standard, fizzy-foamy carbonation.

A very well done low ABV "session" IPA. Fort George has really been doing some great things lately and this is another.

Thanks to Winthrop for the can.

Appearance: Clear gold with a dense white head. Decent retention leaves a small wispy cap. Some slight hints of lacing. Moderate carbonation on the pour.

Smell: Honey, peach, and crazy floral. Gummy peach rings. Some light crackery malts. A touch of pale malt sweetness. Lightly bready. Mildly toasted. A touch of mango and papaya as well. Seriously fruity in that southern fruit kind of way. Some backing pith. Flower petals.

Taste: Bitter. Lingering pine and pithy bitterness pushes an aspirin finish. Malts are super light offering up a hint of sweetness, some bread crust, and some cracker. Lightly toasted. Fruitiness of the nose is dialed down. Some vestiges of peach rings and mango on the edges. Floral element builds with each sip. Assertively hopped.

Mouthfeel: Light leaning on medium body with a slick feel and moderate carbonation.

Overall: Juliet's preferred beverage.

A drinkable IPA, which is the plan. Bitter and light. A touch too bitter in the long run.

Pours with a slightly cloudy golden hue. Nose of citrus and pineapple. Light, delicate body of pale malt and a slightly silky character from wheat, maybe? Dank, delicious hop profile of pineapple and grapefruit provides tons of character and a lingering bitterness on the finish.
