There seems to be a bit of confusion regarding this beer. Originally brewed as Panamax porter the listed ABV is 4.60. The growler fill that I got today was called "Fort George coffee porter" with 7.70 as the ABV on the chalkboard. I called the brewery and they said the ABV was 5.something.(I think he said 5.50)
Growler fill from a 1/2 keg.
Pours a solid black body with a tan head. Some retention & lacing
Smell is mostly coffee with a little chocolate.A little discernible hops too.
Wow, a whole lot of coffee taste going on here. The finish has a nice little hop bite that (after all the coffee taste) comes across as an espresso type bitterness. Nice !
Feel was somewhat creamy but a little watery. The carbonation seemed low and lacking. Perhaps it's because this was near the end of the keg (which it was) In the interest of fairness I'm giving the feel a3.25( but I almost gave it a 3 or 2.75.)
Overall; This beer has a lot going for it. Coffee beans added to the brewing process right ? I would call it a coffee porter. I would have this again...

I really love Working Girl and am disapointed whenever I decide to stop by and it's off. It's a very drinkable porter and keeps me off of the Rainier when it's around.
