On tap during Seattle Beer Week. Poured into a small snifter. Pours pitch black with a thin, light brown head with good retention, eventually dissipating to a ring around the glass with light lacing. Aroma of toasted malt, light chocolate and light barreling whisky. Taste was well balanced toasted, lightly charred malt, chocolate finishing with hints of whiskey and tequila. Medium bodied with some creaminess in the finish. I was not sure about enjoying the tequila barrel influence, but the light flavors in the finish gave this a bit of interesting spiciness that made it stand out. The ABV was well covered; although warming, this did not taste any boozier than Fort George's lower ABV black walnut stout. Second of two draft stouts from Fort George I tried this weekend and both were very enjoyable.
