this beer pours a brown color with little to no head. the aroma provides a bit of sweet malt and a touch of citrus hops. the taste is decent with a good bit of citrus hops a nice sweet malty finish. the medium body is nice but the carbonation seemed a little lacking on this beer for some reason. i could sip a few of these, but it's not going to become my new favorite beer. oh the abv was listed as 5.0

Light honey color with an off-white head that lingers and leaves nice lacing around the glass. Absolutely no aroma. Mouthfeel is watery at first, but leaves a slight tingly finish. Flavor likewise is watery at first, but leaves a slight hoppy finish. Is this beer or seltzer?

On tap at the brewpub. Malt job, with an dd bitterness. Very light brown colour, tea-ish. Touch of lace. Thinnish whisp of head.Malty aroma.Above average carbonation. 5% a.b.v. Fairly weak and low drinkability. If I drank a growler, I may get some fruit in taste but I can't.

Poured a medium amber hue with a half finger foamy white head. There was decent retention and lacing.

The smell featured a citrusy cascade hop with a grainy malt.

The taste consisted of a citrusy hop and a slightly sweet malt. There was a noticable fresh hop finish.

The moutfeel was of average fullness for the style and clean.

Overall a very drinkable and hoppy amber ale.

Quite simply, a very tasty amber ale. More hops than most ambers, and smooth and sharp at the same time. It tastes very fresh and goes down smooth. Has a similar taste to the IPA and Mountain Ale. I don't like it quite as much as those, but ambers are almost never as good as IPA's and strong ales. I just got back from Stowe and plan on killing the growler while listening to the new Mudcrutch album, which everyone should pick up.

Not a bad amber, but less substantial than either the IPA or Mountain Ale, both of which are much better brews. The beer pours a lightish ruby color with a decent head and lacing. The aroma was nice, quite floral, and sweetish malts. The beer is quite well balanced, but it lacks some of the peaty quality to make it a more genuine red ale. This seems to be more of a typical American amber made with cascade hops.

There is a sweetish caramel undertone and roasted notes in the mid section of the beer. This is a reasonably crisp beer, but less creamy than what I would have preferred. It's light to medium bodied. Not a bad brew, it comes in the sampler. Worth a try. I'm not sure if you can pick up a growler of this on the way out.

From 08/27/10 notes. Had on tap at the Shed in VT.

a - Pours a dark amber color with light carbonation.

s - Smells of caramel malts and citrus hops mostly. Hints of floral hops.

t - Tastes of citrus, fruity malts, and caramel malts. Hints of bready malts too.

m - Medium body and low carbonation.

d - An ok amber ale with a nice mix of citrus hops and malts. Would try again.
