On tap at the brewpub under the name Hop Summit IPA. ABV listed at 6.5 percent.
The beer pours a yellow color with a white head. The aroma is very heavy on the tropical fruit. I get a lot of fresh papaya as well as some pineapple.
The flavor is more of the same. The papaya really stands out and there is a nice amount of orange citrus to compliment the papaya. The biscuit malt keeps things from getting too sweet. Low bitterness, very drinkable. The beer is very dry overall.
Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

A: Pours a fairly clear copper color. A small white head forms and recedes in a moment. Lots of sticky lace is left behind though.
S: Pine, citrus, and a strong bitterness. That odd veggie aroma that I get from a lot of beers with Summit hops as well.
T: Follows the nose. A big bitterness of citrus, pine, and resin. Summit hops are just strange for me. A really odd veggie flavor akin to the nose.
M/D: A medium to full body. Very dry and syrupy. The bitterness and strange summit hops make this hard for me to finish.
I just don't like Summit Hops I guess. Put this next to OB Gubna, and I would not be able to tell the difference. Good job Uncle Billy's, it is just not to my tastes.

New on tap at Uncle Billys. Seems strange but I absolutely love the look of the Uncle Billys beers. Always seem to have such a gorgeous color, body and head to them that make them so appealing to me and this one was no exception. Pours a fiery rich amber color with a creamy offwhite head that left tons and tons of lacing. Smell is big, big, big sweet and fruity hops. Very aromatic and extremely inviting. Big hoppy bitter bite up front and a bit of a dry grapefruit rind like bitterness followed by a creamy subtle sweetness. Thick, rich body, and nice lasting bitter finish. They make some outstanding IPAs here and this is definitely another one.

A - light orange, nice foam/lacing
S - I initially got a lot of citrus/floral aroma, but I find the aroma shifts to become a more dank, onion, garlic as I drink the pint. All in all a nice hop aroma.
T - more dank, resionous American hop character. Firm bitterness.
M/D - very dry and drinkable. I could easily drink 3 or 4. I conclude from this that Summit hops are kind of dank, onion, garlic in character.

Appearance: copper, cloudy, white cottony foam that lingers, good residual lacing.
Taste: hoppy, piney, a little citrus.
Mouthfeel: decently carbonated, good body, nice tingle on the tongue.
Drinkability: a well crafted, delicious, and very drinkable IPA.
