had on tap, 10/22/2010
appearance - in between orange and straw yellow, clear, with light thin head
smell - citrusy dry hops
taste - very citrus hoppy, with acidic orange juice character that builds over time to a back of the throat burn (similar to 512 IPA, but not as intense). The building orange acidity produces a bitterness and slighty acrid back drop to the profile.
drinkability - good citrusy IPA, but the burning orange juice acidity gets to be a bit much fairly quickly, but still quite drinkable, for hop heads.
mouthfeel - fairly light for 7% IPA, with a slight bit of viscous slickness.

On tap at the brewpub. The beer pours a golden color with a white head. The aroma is very nice. I get a lot of citrus, as well as some grassy notes. The flavor is more of the same, with some orange citrus notes and a lot of grassy hop notes. I also get a little bit of earthiness. The grassy hops definitely stand out. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation
