On tap at the brewpub.
The beer pours a brownish color with a small tan head. The aroma is classic brown ale. I get a lot of toffee and caramel notes, as well as some hazelnut character. Smells like I want a brown ale to smell.
The flavor is similar. The toffee and caramel notes are complimented nicely by some hazelnut and peanut notes, as well as some nice cocoa characteristics. There is no real hop character in the beer, which is all about the malt. The alcohol is noticeable but the beer is still really easy to drink.
Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. There is nothing that really stands out in this beer, but it really hits all the marks for a classic brown ale.
