Poured from 500mL bottle into a dimpled mug.
Appearance: light orange-yellow hue with a moderate to strong haze and a finger of frothy white foam that leaves a nice lace on the glass. I like it.
Smell: yeasty, grainy aroma with a little bit of fruity hop character. A bit low in intensity, but nice.
Taste: grainy malt with a fruity, floral hop character. It's a rather soapy combination; usually a combination I kind of like, but here it's only moderately successful.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and a pretty good creaminess.
Overall: not a bad beer, but its graininess lacks smoothness and the overall character is just a bit too soapy for my taste.

Cool to see another Double Mountain bottle in town.. Picked up at the COOP and enjoyed from my CBC Teku.. Pours slightly hop-hazed dark golden... 2-finger white head dies back pretty quickly leaving great lacing... Nice tropical fruity/citrus hops with a light piney element.. Great hop flavor and aroma... In many parts of the country, this would be considered an IPA, but here in the PNW, this is a great NW Pale Ale... Well made and tastes very fresh.

Poured from bottle with a date of 7-19-15. Nice clear macro colored beer with grapefruit citrus notes on the nose. Grapefruit and pine on the taste. Nice and dry bitterness on the finish. Hops are there and are well balanced. Nothing to complain about here.
