"This big, glowing, powerful IPA is packed with assertive Northwest hops that are floral, citrusy and resinous. A healthy dose of Munich malt helps to provide backbone and balance against the hoppy attack. The result? Explosive!"

Poured a hazy copper hue with a three finger foamy white head. There was good retention and very good lacing.

The smell featured cereal malts and a dull piney hop.

The taste offered an upfront round sweetness with a lazy piney hop. There was a decent residual sweetness.

The mouthfeel was toward the fuller side of the style.

Overall a decent DIPA.

Attractive yellow orange color in the St. Bernardus globe. Big creamy head and plenty of spritz in the mouth. It isn't so long lasting, but renews well, even opening the half bottle the next day. The mouthfeel is fairly substantial.

Sweet malt and bitter hops. The dank and murk seem to be the profile of this stuff. Pleasant aroma with some fruity and malty notes. Bitter, tangy aftertaste. The flavors slide off into too much hops to balance however, with that orange peel going to grapefruit pith. From the 500 ml bottle bought at Bottlecraft in San Diego.

Brassy with piles of cratered shaving cream foam.
Pissy, catty lemon nose - either it's expired or Citra.
Dough pastry, lots of grain sack, then lean lemon furniture polish hops with some flowers.
Lychee finish and grapefruit rind linger.
Light, crisp, oily.

Not sure where this is headed. Doesn't have the malts to balance 75 IBUs. Sour and a bit of hard work.

Poured from a 500 ml bottle. Pours a deep orangey yellow. Notes of earth, citrus and generic malt dominate the nose. Taste is similarly hop leaning with the citrus notes dominating the caramel malt notes and a big bitter finish wrapping it all up with a dry finish. Very quaffable IPA that is seriously hoppy.

Pours a murky honey orange with a foamy bone head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. A foamy lattice of lace coats the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus fruit, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer but nothing really stands out about this one in my opinion.

Poured from a grenade into a pint glass in high elevation Kalispell, Mont. My dad picked this one up for me on the way up from Portland. Reviewed live.

A- One finger stark-white head over a golden body. Attractive looking beer.

S- Bitter northwest hops. Earthy and bitter.

T- Bitter, earthy, buttery.

M- Medium bodied feel, dry, buttery finish.

O- If I had longer, I'd write a shorter review. Fine IPA. Love me some Double Mountain.

Chilled 300 ml bottle into a shaker pint. No visible bottling date.

Look- Hazy pale amber with three fingers of dense off-white head. Excellent retention, generous lacing.

Smell- Bready, faint pine, very mild.

Taste- Like the aroma, pretty mild. Pine, a little catty, herbal. Finishes with a rounded graham cracker flavor and iced tea.

Mouthfeel- Medium body, smooth, low carbonation. Heavier than expected.

Overall- Decent. Nothing more, nothing less. A fine IPA, but not one I'd seek out. Comparable to SN Torpedo with a smoother, milder feel.

On tap at The Swamp Tavern. Served in a pint glass.

Appearance is an orange gold color and cloudy with a stark white head.

Smell is faint, and fruity aroma maybe.

Taste is a dry malt cereal and grapefruit flavor.

Mouthfeel is full bodied and a little chewy.

Average drinkability. It would be better with more clarity and carbonation.
