500 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Hazy orange. Small white head. No real lacing or surface wisps.

Smell - Esters. Some citrus. Orangey. Mild citrus hop and a little bit of pine. Some sweet grains.

Taste - Bright citrus. Grain. Orangey hops. A bit of sweetness. Doughy malts. Belgian yeastiness. Esters and spiciness.

Mouthfeel - Kinda heavy, but I like it. Good body. Moderate bitterness.

Overall - Verging on an IPA. I like the style.

On tap at the taproom the other day.

The beer pours a solid gold color with a considerable amount of pillowy white head. Lacing was farily sticky and longlasting. The nose is pretty attractive as well, as I picked up considerable honey, vanilla, light banana, light clove, and dry citrus. The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely, though the mouthfeel struck me as a bit thin. The beer is moderately sweet, but with enough hoppy bitterness in the finish to dry out that sweetness fairly well. The beer finishes well, and alcohol seemed pretty well integrated into the flavor profile.

A nice solid beer that went well with the sausage, onion and mushroom pizza. It was nothing earthshattering, but it struck me as a decent, competently made Belgian style ale.

Poured into my large Gulden Draak tulip, White Rider of Conquest is murky yet glowing gold (particularly yeasty at end), with a white head leaving scattered lace.

Smell is bright and estery, lots of tropical fruit notes, as well as yeasty bread dough.

Taste is also estery, more pronounced as banana, with a bright herbal hop snap. Spicy finish with a clean alcohol character.

Mouthfeel is dry, light bodied.

Drinkability is pretty high, it's a quaffable, refreshing, full flavored Belgian blonde with a nice punch that is cleanly executed. I like the brightness of the hops - not at all BIPA, but I suspect this one is best fresh and slightly chilled.
