On tap at double mountain today.

Pouring a clear light amber with a dense, off white head with excellent retention and lacing, this looks great! The nose is excellent. Bright, pungent citrus and pine with a blend of fruit, the nose is a hop riot. The blend of mosaic, simcoe and Perle hops is excellent. Juicy fruit and a mild to medium malt sweetness that's simple sugar, there's also some alcohol. The palate is outstanding. Bright fruity pungent and hoppy but not particularly resiny, there's a blend of citrus, pine, orange, tropical fruit and plenty of juice. A medium level of sugary sweetness is present, and the alcohol is noticeable as well. With this beer, the sweetness doesn't bother me, simply because of the massive amount of flavor and aroma hops. Medium in body with a creamy carbonation, this beer has a long finish with moderate bitterness, plenty of tropical fruit and some sweetness. Very impressive.

On tap at the Horse Brass the other day. I had previously sampled this at the Bier Stein, but enjoyed a full 10 ounce pour the other day.

The beer pours an impressive peachy orange color with very good head retention and lacing. On the nose.... mama mia!!!! Welcome to hop heaven lads! There is literally an explosion of dank weed, pine, dry citrus, and a hint of light malt. I'm not sure I've ever smelled the amount of pine I'm picking up in this bad boy. On the palate, this beer is every bit as good, and the beer had a long, seamless finish. The breweer really nailed it on this one; there is considerable malty sweetness in this beer, but the avalanche of hoppy goodness completely tames it in this well balanced DIPA. There is considerable hoppy bitterness in this beer, but given the malty sweetness in this well crafted beer, it's barely noticeable. Yet for all the sweet malt I get in this beer, ultimately the beer is light, dry and noticeably bitter on the finish. Alcohol is very well integrated in this DIPA. You get a sense that it's up there, but there no heat or alcoholic bite on the finish. Mouthfeel otherwise is medium bodied to full, with a long, ultimately dry, bitter finish.

Very, very impressive, and maybe the best thing I've had from Double Moutain. (which is saying something from the makers of Killer Green!).

A: Poured a beautiful, glowing orangish-yellow color with great carbonation leaving a nice whispy white head A good amount of lacing was present on my 8oz pour.

S: If I recall this beer weighed in at 10%? or so, I could be wrong but you do get a sharp little booze sting on the nose initially and then loads of dank green hops, tropical fruits, a little vegal but more citrus and tropical fruits. The Mosaic and SImcoe just smell amazing together.

T: Wow. What can I say about this beer. I loved it! A Triple Pale as described at Double Mountain. The initial taste is that "standard" trademark you get from all Double Mountain ales. I believe its the Pils malt. Anyhow, copious amount of dank, green, tropical fruits(mango, pineapple), a dash of pine and some green vegal notes like I would expect grass in New Zealand to taste like. Loads of flavor, not very oily either, not very bitter, just subtle and delicous. The finish is somewhat crisp, refreshing but with a little reminder of its potency.

M: Light-medium bodied, well carbonated, not overly sticky but somewhat sweet and sticky. Amazingly refreshing for this caliber beer

O: Hands down my favorite Double Mountain beer and I have always been a Killer Green fan. I chased this with a Devils Kriek and still wanted another. GD..this was good.
