This is a taproom that serves beer, not a restaurant, so I kept that in mind with my scoring, and overall impession of this place. Very cool laid back mnt. town apres ski atmosphere, plenty of locals hanging out on the sofa's give's it a cool living room vibe.

Quality of the beers is fantastic, I've had at least 6 or 7 from these guys and they're all really good.

Service was fine, it was pretty busy they only had one server + bartender, but it was casual enough that it was all one tab and you could either wait to be servered or order at the bar.

Selection is great, beer wise. I went there the day after their 1 year anniversery party, and they had a whooping 13 of their own brews going, everything from DIPA to flanders kriek. I particularly enjoyed their dark rye this time.

Food was fine, basic menu, the hummus platter was fantastic, particulary the sweet red peppers. The left over went great on our NY style pizza, but that's basically the only entree available.

Pints were cheap for the size, food was average. Great beer and atmosphere makes this joint a great value.

This is certainly the "cooler" place to go in Hood River (when compared to Full Sail), but it's lagging behind in virtually every aspect in my opinion. It's worth a stop if you're in town, but not a detour.

Love to visit Double Mountain when I am in the Hood River area fishing. Very good beer-my fav is Hop Lava- great pizza and a really cool vibe.
