Bought this along with more expensive bottles of brew at my local bottle shop. It is a "local" beer so I thought I'd give it a try as I love bourbon barrel stouts.
Appearance: Jet black. Poured into my Stone tulip glass, it had a fair amount of foam which settled quickly down.
Smell: A faint amount of bourbon and roast.
Taste: Roasted coffee, faint chocolate. Pleasant bit of bourbon on the end.
Mouthfeel: Somewhat thin for a RIS.
Overall: No one will mistake this for BCBS. However, it is an affordable and pleasant drink that will please those who like BA stouts. Just don't expect the moon. Highly recommend letting this warm for at least 20 minutes as the flavors come out much more.

Snagged a bottle of this for 5 bucks at the local House of 1,000 beers. Into a pint glass.

A - BB Insidious pours a very deep black opaque color with just a 1/4 inch of mocha head that pulls back to a moderate lace ring. Just like the regular Insidious it is a bit thin for an Imperial stout Medium bodied at most.
S - Well I was pleasantly surprised but the aroma black fruit currants, mocha and chocolate, mild roasts, and a decent dose of vanilla and soft bourbon. Nice.
T - Well it's good not too deep with the bourbon tones which was nice. More sweet than I expected vanilla and dark chocolate highlighting. Very balanced flavors.
M - Well I didn't go in expecting a thick Imperial or high octane bourbon so with a medium bodied chewy Imperial this met its mark.

Overall a very tasty easy going bourbon barrel aged stout. If it's still at the house I may grab another bottle well with the 5 dollar price tag.

poured from a 12oz bottle into a standard pint glass. Snifter in the sink. No bottled dating could be found

Poured jet black with a caramel colored 1-2 fingered head. This thinned out to a covering quite quickly.

Smell was amazing. Reminded me of Thirsty Dog's Wulver. Vanilla, dried fruits, bourbon. Very appetizing.

Taste was also excellent. All the above flavors came through. A very enjoyable drink to finish off the evening.

Mouth was a bit of a letdown. Though I certainly enjoyed rolling the beer around my tongue, the beer was a bit on the thin side, and did not get that comforting alcohol soft burn feeling that I get with the better BBA stouts.

Overall, I can certainly recommend this beer. Not the best BBA stout out there, but certainly very enjoyable.
