Appearance: Pours out a clear chestnut brown color with a light brown head. Rather light in color compared to most other porters I've had.
Smell: The lukewarm aroma tries hard to hide any detection of roasted malts, chocolate, and nuts. Be sure to give it a very vigorous swirl before sniffing!
Taste: What to say about a beer that there's not much to say about? Malts are syrupy sweet (Tootsie Pops) and a touch toasty. Not much actual hop flavor, but there is some brief, spicy bitterness in the finish. No discernable alcohol flavors.
Mouthfeel: Such a crisp porter! Mouthfeel is fairly thin, bordering on watery. Perhaps this is actually pretty appropriate for the Florida heat...
Drinkability: Not impressive. I wouldn't even touch this beer with YOUR tongue.

12 oz bottle poured near black with a towering, creamy light brown head.
Feel: creamy and full bodied feel. Soft, medium carbonation.
Rich and relatively complex, with a good suggestion of chocolate and a hint of coffee with the dark roasted malt character. Subtle hints of smoke and black licorice.
O: a robust porter in style, this is also on the new label.
