I had this beer at a restaurant in Cocoa Beach, FL named, "A N.Y. Pizza House." On an unrelated topic, the pizza was very good. Not the best I've ever had, but good. Especially if you like garlic.
I mention the restaurant for one reason. Because one of their lead cooks, and their resident beer guy, was one of the most hated employees according to the waitresses and other cooks.
Why? Because he was a know it all.
My final point about this restaurant. This same beer guy used to work for a Budweiser and Coors distributor, delivering beer. Other than that experience, he knows nothing about craft beer.
He was actually telling the waitresses to do something called, "Rolling" the beer. With all of their beers. But especially the craft beers so that the sediment doesn't sit on the bottom.
So with that intro let me get to the review: FYI: The brewery is a few miles down the road. So this was truly a local beer.
Typical Amber color. Bordering on Orange.
My first stiff gave me an apple juice aroma. Then, as I delved in deeper, I began pulling out some light citrus notes. However the malt was definitely the main character of this beer.
It was a typical Amber Ale. Nothing special. Not bad. Not great. Just average.
There was no apple in the flavor, which was surprising after the strength in the aroma.
If you've never had it, I recommend trying it (if for nothing else), for the experience.

My parents brought me back some booze from the sunshine state. Thanks mom and dad.
Amber with a quick to scurry head. Smells like cooled amber extract heavy wort. Tastes toastier than I was expecting. Aspirin finish.
Smoother, less grainy Yuengling? Probably better on a warm Florida beach than a cold Dorchester double decker.

On tap in a pint glass.
A- Light golden-amber color, 1f off-white head. Minimal lacing, lots of bubbles.
S-Lots of wet musty grains.
T- Just enough malt and a touch of floral hop to elevate it above a typical AAL.
M- Light and refreshing, well carbonated. Not enough, though.
O- When it was this or AAL on tap, it sufficed. Barely.
