This was stop #9 on a Florida vacation for my wife and me. The pub is located along a busy commercial street, but this building and those behind it are all industrial in their appearance. Access to the brewery is from a private street/driveway that is partially blocked off so that finding the way in here at night was awkward. The large room that serves as the tasting room has a circular bar in the center, and a good number of tables are around the perimeter. A wall of coolers has beer to go, and a wall of windows allows viewing the production area.

There were 16 beers and two ciders on tap, and we chose a sampler flight of 6 styles that we enjoy the most to be able to evaluate the beers. All of the beers are brewed very well to style so that we gave a grade of B+, B or B- to everything. The most notable one was the Swamp Ale Red Rye DIPA, followed closely by the Passport 20 Belgian Trippel. Kudos to this brewery for a great job with the beers.

There is no food served here, but snacks are available. However, the pub is food friendly so that you can bring food in with you or have some delivered by ordering from available menus from nearby places. We liked this place and would return if we are ever in the area again.

This is the third stop my son and I have made on our monthly visits to the local breweries in Brevard County, FL - Florida Beer Company did not disappoint.

On this trip, my daughter also tagged along and we had a great time. This was by far, the most visually stunning of all the local breweries we have visited to date. Their bar is a wide diameter circle in the middle of this vast and tall, atrium-like room. Plenty of space to move around for their busier times and if you sit at the bar strategically, you can gawk at the brewery through hugh, glass windows or peek at what is offered at their modest gift shop - all within a few steps of each other.

Their brews were all good - from the lagers to the double imperial IPAs, we were not for wanting more - but it was a weekday so we kept it nice and simple. The staff could have been a bit more friendly. Not sure what we said or did (or maybe laughed too loud) to turn them off - but other than that, we had a great time.

The FBC taproom is now open!!! It is a large and impressive first floor space, well lit with a huge panorama of the brewing floor. The bar is circular and televisions abound around the taps on the center column. There are also many high and a few low tables. The atmosphere is clean and professional, not a bad/weird place to bring kids or non-bar people. The service is excellent, but they usually need more bartenders. No smoking and no food, but you can bring food in and there are many delivery menus available. There are also several beers available that they don't distribute, such as the Feast of Flowers which is a farmhouse ale, 8.8%, brewed for Epcot. Some of the beers are better than others. Their Sunshine State Pils is much lighter and crisper than the other pils they have, and stay away from the wheat IPA. My personal favorite is Gaspar's Porter.

They are still in the soft opening stage, and they plan to include wifi access and brewery tours sometime this summer. A little out of the way, but certainly worth a visit!

No frill no thrills taproom that offers decent brews. You can never go wrong with a Swamp Ape though. Southernmost Wheat is pretty solid too. They go down like water. They offer cheap cases of beer which is worth bringing home. Biggest suggestion is to make sure you stay on the main roads when visiting. There are some not so nice neighborhoods around the brewery.

There's a new brewery and an awesome new tap room in Cape Can right near the port. It's air conditioned has several televisions and a window into the brewery. Much improved. My old review follows:
As noted in a previous review this is a tasting room above the brewing floor. Free samples of just about everything they make under their own labels are available (they also contract brew for a lot of others). Growler fills became available recently and there are often good deals on bottled beer (cheaper than a liquour store or supermarket). Blazingly hot in the summer with no air conditioning, best to visit in cooler weather unless just running in and out to grab some beer. I'd also recommend the Kelly's cider if you like that type of thing, one of the better one's I've had.

I visited their tasting room. It is a mezzanine upstairs, above the brewing operations. It is a bare bones space for them to serve samples of beer and sell beer. It is not air conditioned, so it was hot. No, it was not warm. It was hot. One guy runs the tasting room operation. He was extremely nice, and helpful. Heck, he gave me free beer! What a guy! It was good too. He and I were chatting in front of a big fan, so we were OK. I especially liked the Swamp Ape IPA. They use 5 different types of hops to make it. Very nice. I had a nice pale ale also. It is fun to stand up there and sip beer while watching the people below making it. LOTS of it. I was surprised at how large their operation is. They have been at it for a long time. I think he said 15 years.
