Notes/Commercial Description:
The pride of McGuire's!
Our Red Ale was the first beer we brewed and remains our most popular. Beer gurus Michael Jackson and Fred Eckhardt have both praised its smooth and malty character. This full bodied ale is great for sipping and goes well with most food, especially McGuire's great steaks!

I'm new to the style besides Killian's which I'm not sure is an accurate representation. I don't really expect it to be a perfectly craft brewed Irish Red Ale but we'll see. Poured from a 12 oz bottle purchased over spring break in Destin.

A - Poured into a SA perfect pint; it actually kinda looks like Boston lager in a way. Clear amber color with a good foamy head that eventually fizzes out to a ring around the top of the glass. Laces quite nicely. Not really red like I was expecting but still looks good.

S - Mostly malt aromas. Smells a little phenoly/metallic but not too bad.

T - Tastes about average. Like I said I'm not too experienced on the style, but it seems kinda like a weak scotch ale. Lots of sweet malt up front. Hops not too bitter on the finish but certainly present.

M - Crisp and refreshing. Medium body.

O - Its average. Its not too much of a step-up from Killian's but its a beer brewed for a mass of people coming into an Irish pub so like I said I didn't really expect it too be super stellar. Its one I would certainly order as a staple at Mcguires, but I won't be picking up a sixer next time I'm in town.

A: Copper, filtered, almost no apparent carbonation, 1 finger slight beige head.

S: Malt, grass, citrus hops, fruit celler must.

T: Malt, grass, some bright citrus, fruit celler must, dull British bitter linger.

M: Medium bready body, medium low carbonation.

O: Delicious and balanced, British style beer. Love its from Pensacola, saw the Pub downtown. Cool bottle. Would go well with chips, pub food.
