Picked this one up as an extra in a trade, thanks to BanditBrewingCo.
Comes out a pale, slightly hazy honey color, with a 1/2" off-white head. Smell is mostly quiet Pilsner-y malt, with a light, lemony hop note. Some light honey and graham cracker smells come out as the beer warms. The taste is exquisitely balanced, with the grainy, cracker-y malt flavors playing against the restrained, herbal hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is also spot-on for the style, with perfectly middle-of-the-road carbonation and body. What this one lacks in complexity it more than makes up in drinkability.

Poured into an English pint glass, the appearance was a pale burnt orange/copper color with a fingers worth of white foamy head that slid off at a good pace. Mild stringy lace. The aroma had some toast, biscuits, light toffee/caramel malts, dried citrusy tones, some herbal character and ended with a little bit of floral hop quality. The flavor was moderately sweet drawing upon the malts to stiffen the bitterness and almost make me want to say bland but given the style, Ill refrain and say the aftertaste was as expected with a smooth malty contour that followed into the finish. The palate was almost medium bodied, sitting just a touch under and creating a fantastic sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. Pretty smooth along my tongue. Overall, as an English pale ale brewed by an American brewer, its hard to knock, my numbers are based on that. And, theres no diacetyl, thats a plus!

Light red with yellow hues and no head. medium fruits and faint citrus in the aroma. Grainy and fruity (pear and orange) with a respectable hop bite in the finish. A little beer bread and spice is also noticed. Medium in body. Would do in a pinch or would even do not in a pinch.

Had on tap, was the cask aged variant.
What made the beer was by and large the mouthfeel. Absolutely creamy, smooth, balanced and drinkable. Definitely refreshing.
In terms of flavor and aroma, this aspect was very mild, notes of toasty malt and hops were more on the floral/earthy side, beer finishes with a crisp hop bite but as noted it was mild and balanced by the creamy mouthfeel.
Overall an absolutely solid choice for a session, goes back easier than water and tastes pretty good, low ABV and balanced really well, but won't blow your socks off.

Pours amber out of the bottle capped less than a month ago. Light head that dissipates quickly leaving a faint layer of carbonation. Nose is all malt and grain - I can't smell any floral or citrus notes from the hops. Taste follows suit - bread, biscuit, hay with a little sugary sweetness and maybe a kiss of orange. Maybe - sometimes it's there most times it's not. Finishes smooth with a lingering taste of oat and some bitterness on the tongue. It's an okay pale ale that could fool me for a lager.
