Thanks go to (I think) LocalIsBetter for hooking me up with this.
Poured into my Delirium tremens tulip.

A: Pours a deep mahogany color with ruby highlights around the edges. About a finger of foam recedes fairly quickly to leave a thin layer floating on top with little to no lacing around the glass.

S: Very robust. Heavy coffee up front. Deep caramel and chocolate tones follow close behind. Not much hops to speak of, but then again, there really shouldn't be. Near perfection.

T: Big roasty flavors bombard the palate immediately upon impact, followed by some coffee and chocolate. Some caramel notes are present, but are mostly covered up by the massive roastiness. Seems to get better with every sip. Impressive.

M: Almost spot on. Could use just slightly less carbonation, but otherwise this is about as good as it gets.

D: Wow. One of, if not the, best porters I've ever had. And at 5.5%, I could drink plenty more. Remarkable.

Very dark brown, almost black color leaving a tan, foamy head with nice lacing when poured.

It has an initial smokey taste that quickly evolves into a chocolate/coffee blend that lingers on the sides of the tongue.

A smooth, heavier taste without the heavier feel. Very light carbonation.

The kind of beer you can drink all night.

I've had porters in nearly every state and a few provinces in North America, including one that just one an award in Tucson, AZ. Mayflower Porter is the best I've had in many years of drinking porters. You won't go wrong with this one.

Hopefully Mayflower can work on expanding its distribution as only a few places in my area carry it. It was recommended by a bartender at Mondo's in Middletown when I asked for a dark beer. She served up a winner!

A: Dark brown body with a creamy coffee-colored frothy head.

S: Chocolate and coffee.

T: Not carbonated. Very smooth. Taste of chocolate and coffee but more coffee than chocolate.

M: Very mild aftertaste.

O: Great beer. Would recommend to someone looking to start a porter beer journey. This is definitely on the top of my porter list.

A- Inch tall light brown head on a dark brown body. Cap and collar throughout, leaving splotchy lacing.

S- Whiffs of cocoa powder, deep coffee.

T- More roastiness/coffee notes than chocolate in the taste. Has a lingering roasty/burnt taste that I'm not sure how to feel about.

M- Smooth, lower carbonation. Medium/medium-thick body for it's ABV. Really enjoy how this drinks.

D/O- Highly drinkable although the plus-roastiness may lead to palate fatigue after a few. Thanks for this "Top 50 English Porter" @mj0126 !

Thanx Johnnnieee

Same spot as I found the date for their blonde "PKG DEC 16, 2013"

Into a mug.

A: pitch black colored body with a slim white one fingered foamy head that drops to a speckled sticky foamy lacing

S: delicately balanced coffee to chocolate - a nice gentle burnt and roastiness

T: pretty much the same as the aroma with a crisp dry roasty chocolatey aftertaste and just a dry finish

M: sits fairly light on the body with a gentle sessionability to it, carbonation is slightly smooth but also shows some harshness to keep one from pounding it

O: what a nice English Porter, probably the best one I've had today by Mayflower as I would definitely have this again
