A - Pours a vivid golden yellow into a pilsner flute. The foamy head springs up quickly and retains well given the lightness of the beer and leaves fairly thick, even lacing on the sides of the glass. There is steady visible carbonation streaming up the center of the beer. The beer sparkles when held up to the light.

S - Great aroma, and stronger than I expected. Grassy hops with a touch of spice overlays a firm bready sweetness.

T - Light but vibrant flavors are almost similar to a farmhouse ale. I get a mild spiciness with hints of lemongrass. The flavors are toned down, but excellent. Very light malt balances the hops quite well. Something like cracker or light breadiness. Light noble hop character on the finish.

M - Light bodied and quite refreshing. Perfect timing drinking this on a warm day after getting out of work early. The carbonation is quite active on the tongue and gives almost a prickly sensation. There is also a mild dryness the comes in on the finish, which is clean.

O - Good work from Mayflower here. I know this is a year-rounder, but I think the brewery would be better served putting this guy in 12-packs and marketing it for a summer release.

Appearance: bright, clear golden color; serious carbonation; a one finger frothy head that slowly settled and kept about 1/4 of it's body; good lacing

Smell: grassy or hay-like

Taste: Again, grassy and hay-like; slight lemon; quite mild

Mouthfeel: light, clean, and crisp; nice carbonation, but not too ticklish; very enjoyable; almost no stringency

Overall: Exactly what I would expect from a golden ale. I typically like a more robust beer, but sometimes I want something light and crisp. This is what I'm looking for at those times. This would be perfect on a warm summer day after mowing the lawn or just hanging out on the porch with friends.
