Draught @ Brewpub: This one pours a fairly clear darker golden color. There was a finger of frothy off-white head on it. It has a nice nose. Sweet malts, pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice. The taste is also good. Malty, slightly sweet, a little heavier on the body. Pumpkin and pumpkin pie spices also, but not overpowering. Nice.

Was able to find a can of this at Carnivores in Oakmont for just $2.50! Into a pint glass

A - The ABV really makes the head on this on fizz out rather quickly. Beer color is a dark tinted orange brown clear. Looks good.
S - Ow wow very intense gram cracker and vanilla sweetness in the smell like straight up vanilla bean! Smells of mild allspice with cinnamon and nutmeg and very little vegital smell.
T - Quite good it does have a bit of pumpkin vegital in the middle to remind you its a pumpkin ale but its mostly sweet with vanilla and honey like cracker bite. Surprising balanced spices never get cloying or intense.
M - Despite its high ABV this one drinks medium bodied with a well concealed taste.

Overall next to Elysian Night Owl this is one of the better pumpkin ales I have had this year. Best to drink these fresh so I may swing buy for a few more before its gone.

Note: not sure why they charge so much for these high gravity beers at the Brewpub its quite a steal in cans since high gravity pours are 4-5 dollars at Rivertowne Pourhouse.

12oz can poured into a pint glass. Pours a hazy golden with a small off-white head that leaves little lacing and retention. The aromas are incredible. Smells exactly like Pumking. It has tons of graham cracker and buttered popcorn. Lots of vanilla. Some caramel malts are there. The flavors are earthy and finish with a blast of cinnamon. More graham cracker along with fresh vanilla bean. Finishes dry, clean and slightly bitter. It's definitely not overly sweet. It ultimately smells better than it tastes, but it still tastes amazing. Mouthfeel is solid. It's medium-bodied with very active carbonation. Alcohol goes unnoticed.

This is an incredible pumpkin ale. It's almost like a Pumking clone. Rivertowne has tapped into that magic and has a serious winner here. This is one of the best pumpkin ales I've ever had. Highly recommended.

This beer has been out since Oct 2014. The local 6 pak shop got a deal on the keg in Jan and nobody was buying it. So we had some there and filled our growlers and went back for more. Tasted as good if not better than Pumking.

Rivertowne Headless Wylie

Pours a rich gold color with white soapy head and lace.
Aroma of pumpkin, cinnamon and spice. Caramel and bread are on the fringes.
In the taste, pumkin, vanilla and spice. Caramel malts and fresh pumpkin . Low bitterness with a bit of cream and vanilla. Finishes with pumpkin
Medium bodied mouthfeel with light carbonation.
Overall, this is a good imperial pumpkin ale with all due spice and sweetness.

12oz can poured into a pint glass
A: Transparent orange with a one-finger head that settles very quickly
S: Pumpkin pie and particularly the whipped topping or ice cream is present
T: Again, this is Libby's pumpkin pie in a can. Again the cream/vanilla is noticeable and enjoyable
M: Surprisingly light but smooth/creamy
O: I ended up gulping this. Not much to write home about in the malt/hop department, but if you want pumpkin pie in a glass here you go. Delicious.

On tap at D's II in monroeville. Had on tap at pour house yesterday but wasn't on nitrogen. Appears light Orange, with a big fluffy head that sticks around edges. Took a while to get, there was so much head. Once settled, sticky lacing and clear appearance. Smells of slight pumpkin, nutmeg, and subtle alcohol scent. The taste is a sleeper, I can't believe this goes down just as quick as regular pumpkin. Dangerously drinkable at 9.3, and nitrogen makes ridiculous mouthfeel that I can't get enough of! If you like pumpkin beers and even better big beers, this is it! Best new beer in Pittsburgh by my standards. If you are a ST Pumking lover its a must try!
