Tried on-tap at the brewery in Jacksonville.
A - Deep amber to red color and crystal clear. Head is light beige and sits in a fluffy ring around the glass throughout.
S - Nice malty aroma, and a flowery note that could be hops or yeast.
T - Malty, grainy notes up front that quickly fade. A bit of hops flavor in mid-palate. Very clean finish with no aftertaste.
M - Light body. A bit of creamy carbonation.
D - A nice beer, but very middle-of-the-road as if not wanting to offend anybody with flavor and aroma. A bit more body and malt roundness would improve it for me.

Nice color. Light bodies and not quite as malty as I normally like. (And served at their own restaurant, a very good place to munch and drink on the St Johns River.)

A pint glass full of garnet. Small, off-white head with little staying power.
Smell is weak, neatly non-existent.
Taste is roasted malt, caramel, faint hops. Balance is good.
Medium-Light body, medium plus carbonation. Nothing here stands out. Not a bad brew, but nothing to crow about either.

A: single finger head on a clear copper body.
S: sweet caramel malt with a slight chocolate note. Sour presence as well.
T: this one is unpleasantly tart in finish. Up front sweet caramel malts prevail but these are quickly overcome by a terrible tartness.
M: light to medium body, too light and moderate carbonation.
Overall: may have been a bad keg but the tartness of the malt was terrible. I will update this if and when I try it again.

Was in JAX to watch a Monday Night Football game and decided to try the RCB Co. The Red Rooster poured a deep clear amber with offwhite head. The smell included a malt aroma and slight sweetness from the hops. The taste was powered by malt and grain with a slight balance of hops. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was one of the better beers on tap.

Poured on-tap at River City Brewing Company, the beer was served in a pint glass. It poured a hazy amber-brown color with no signifcant head. Aromas of sweet caramel malt. The beer had a slight sour malt flavor, with slight milk-chocolate highlights, which is unusual for a Red. The beer was light and smooth bodied, with a fairly sweet aftertaste. The finish was smooth, and this beer was extremely easy to drink. The chocolate characteristics in this beer make it a unique Red, and an enjoyable brew overall.

served at brewery.
This red ale has an exceptional degree of red coloration: a pleasing to look at clear red amber under a tan head. Head has excellent retention and leaves lacing on glass.
Flavor and aroma are not exceptional, except for a bit of spiciness. Roasted malts dominate, with some unfortunate burnt flavor.
M - smooth, but a tad thin.

Served in a standard pint, the beer is darkish red (just as advertised..) with an off-white smallish head.
The nose is of caramel & lightly roasted malts.
The taste starts slightly sweet & grainy. There is some toasted malts and the hops add a bit of balancing bitterness late.
The mouth is a trifle thin, but the beer is still drinkable. This is not a world beater, but it is a serviceable red. Given most of their beers they brew here, that is a compliment!

This beer started off good with a nice mahogahny color and off white head. The aroma was interesting, malty, caramel and roasted, without any hops or minerals, and then a slight woody barrel like aroma. The flavor was okay, some bitterness, nice malt flavor and then that wood-like flavor with some astringency. I asked the server about barrel aging and he said that none of the beers were barrel aged. The body was fine, but overall the wood flavor which got stronger, detracted from the overall experience.
