This is basically your Walmart of beer/wine/liquor stores. A massive store with just about everything you can get in Florida. As previously mentioned, they are a wine store first, so their beer knowledge is limited. Everyone working there is up to snuff with regards to wines, however.

Quality: I take several points away in this category because I found a number past date brews. I highly recommend that when browsing and purchasing from this store that you limit yourself to bottles with "Born On" or "Best Before" dates. I was perusing American IPAs and found at least 6 different beers that were past their "Best Before" date. Maybe they had trouble moving that style/product but it should be removed from the shelves and replaced with something different or kept in quantities that they can manage. I will say that I have made numerous trips to this store and my recent was the first time I had caught this issue. That's it, I've said my peace.

Service: I've been to the store looking for a seemingly random bottle of wine and the service was phenomenal. Without even looking the bottle up, I was told that they believe they are out of that wine. I was led to the location to find they were indeed sold out. The associate was then able to recommend several other bottles of similiar quality and price as a substitue, all from memory. At the mention of the word beer, "I don't work in that aisle" is the standard response. I don't think I've found anyone who works in the beer aisle yet!

Selection: Top notch. One of (if not "the") the best selections in town. A whole aisle of singles and bombers. Lots of Germans, Belgians, and American Micros.

Value: Becuase of their size, distribution model, and being a national chain they can pretty much undercut all of the mom and pop's stores. The thing is, they don't undercut them by much. So, becuase the service is shoddy and the prices aren't that much better, I keep them at "reasonable". If the the service was better OR the prices were better I could see a better value score.

They have most of what ships down to Florida.

Very similar big box set-up as my local Total Wine. I wanted to check out Total Wine because I was traveling and wanted to quickly pick up a few beers that I can not get with local distribution. This place was perfect for what I wanted. I found Twisted Pine, Inlet, Florida Beer, Coronado, and even a leftover Ballast Point Sculpin. I did have a couple that were not as fresh as I would have liked. They also did not have much from Cigar City at the time, which was disappointing.

I like coming here. It has a really great selection of craft beers plus twice a year they put our a free beer guide that is really informative to us newbies out here. My one gripe is going to be that they have a "big box" feel. I prefer smaller stores that have little treasures.

This is without a doubt the best place in Boca to purchase bottled beers. Although TW is noted formhaving old stock on the shelves, as long as one is careful, the old beers can be weeded out. The selection is unbeatable. All the local stuff plus all the the regional and national brewer available. It seems they have an extraordinary amount of Clown Shoes, I guess because they are "brewery direct". Large selection of every other beer with some cold, some at the front, some at the back. The location is ideal and prices are definitely the cheapest in the area. I recommend thismplace if younare looking for beer in Boca Raton.

After getting into craft beer in mid-2009, I quickly discovered Total Wine and it soon became my new toy store. I mainly go there every week for the latest craft beer releases, but I also shop for the occasional spirit or bottle of wine. Employees are always friendly and willing to help, and I love that I can call ahead and reserve a rare bottle if I suspect it will fly off shelves before I can get my hands on it. The beer aisle looks like the soda aisle at a standard grocery store - it seems to go on forever, with hundreds and hundred of different selections. Prices are always fair and subscribing to their email newsletter gets you some great coupons every week. The only downside to the Boca Raton location is that there is no classroom that many other locations have, which means if I want to attend a Total Wine beer, wine or spirit class (or specialty tasting), I have to travel to Boynton Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, etc. I don't know if it's possible, but a remodel to add one of these classrooms would be a worthy investment, in my opinion. Occasionally I've had issues trying to find prices on bottles because they hit the shelves before the price tags have been attached, but a friendly associate will always help with whatever I need. Total Wine is my own personal grocery store for beer and I'm glad there's one in my town.

This is my go to store I described in my profile. Bright and clean. Massive. Well written, bold signs are everywhere describing each of the various alcohols, some of which show Beer Advocate's rating! The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. I've engaged in several great conversations here. The selection is the BEST anywhere near here, hands down. If you have a better place near here then please tell me otherwise. The prices are rock bottom and if they are not they will do a price match if you bring in the ad with the sale. (Not 100% on how the policy goes). Sign up for the newsletter and you'll even get coupons sent to your email. I use my dollar off ever time!

They sell a lot of different kinds of alcohol here but i come for the stunning amount of craft beers. You can even make your own 6 pack of beer. There's one HUGE rack of 6 packs, 4 packs and a few mini kegs. The other side of the rack has all the single beers and some other things. They sell various sized kegs here as well. There is not much food at all. Just a few snack foods really.

With the overall Selection/Value and Knowledge of the staff here you really cant go wrong.

pretty impressive selection of national and international beers. All of the usual suspects, and a few more rare beers. not a lot by way of sours...which was one of the things I was looking for.

I came looking for Cigar City beers, and unfortunately they only had the Big Sound Scotch Ale...their "Beer guy" (Chris, I think...) apologized, and explained that they didn't get much/any of the other beers...but some of the local bars got *a* case, and one might still have a few bottles. he offered to call them for me, but I explained that I was only in town for the night, and had other plans.

pretty good stop. prices pretty good as well.
