Had this one on-tap at a little beachside joint in Nokomis, FL this last weekend.
Came out a basic pale red with a small off-white head. The nose was really basic with slight grains, sweet fruity aroma of apple and honey. The body was lacking as it was on the thin side. Easy to down that's for sure. Simple flavors, but nothing really stands out. Pretty bland - husk, sweet malts, sweet finish, mild bitterness. Are we sure this is really 7.0%? Alcohol not detectable at all. This reminds me of Yuengling, but actually not as enjoyable. I'd pass on this one in the future.

Lasting beige head that leaves a blanket of lace. Deep brown where bright light passes easily. Clear.
Smells like a Rye Ale--dry and mildly earthy.
Dry start. Good level of darker (toasty) malt. Good dollop of hop bitterness in the swallow, but the aftertaste is darker, nearly astringent malt flavor. Relatively thin with a below average level of carbonation.

This was my 3rd beer from the Sarasota Brewing Company and again poured into a Pint Glass.
This one was reviewed before eating their wings and then had 1/4 of the glass left during my meal.
Appearance- Extremely Dark, Ruby Red body with a dark (off white) finger of head. This broke down quickly, had almost no retention and then left lacing on the glass.
Smell- A mild hop with roasted caramel malts. These caramel notes were very extreme and can still smell them.
Taste- Same exact taste as smell. A caramel taste and then a mild hop again.
Mouthfeel- Medium-Full Bodied (Very Thick) with a stickiness as I kept in the mouth. There is a dry finish as the beer had this cloying effect.
Drinkability- Not a bad beer! One of the better Reds I've had at a Brew-Pub. I haven't gotten into this style much but would like to try another and compare.
