Served on-tap into a tumbler at Satisfaction in Durham. Appearance is a dark red/amber color with very little head. There is a persistent ring than remains. The smell very prominently features the weizen yeast's spicy fruitiness. For the taste we again have the delicious complexity of the yeast with some of the typical sweetness you find in Belgians. A second sip brings out some winter spiciness, nutmeg or some cloves perhaps? The shocking thing is the 8% abv, this beer hides its strength very well. Mouth feel is moderate to low carbonation.
I really like this beer, one of the best I've had this year. Almost reminds me of a Winter Saison. Not too sweet and nice and nice and spicy for the winter. Never had a beer that hid its alcohol so well.

$9.95 for a six-pack of cans at a local gas station.
A: Decent size head, fades neither slowly nor quickly. Very light lacing. Body is a very attractive, light amber color.
S: That standard sweetness that comes with the style, Smell definitely does not stand out, leaves no significant impression.
T: None of the flavour is overpowering, which is both a positive and negative trait. Nothing stands out in the taste to make it stand out from other beers in the style, but it manages to not have any specific flavours too strong so as to offend any drinker with a specific spice dislike. Leaves no significant aftertaste. The abv. (8.0%) isn't particularly noticeable.
M: Pretty standard in regards to the style, not particularly light, but lacks the residual sticky-sweetness found with some belgians. Goes down quite easily, definitely sessionable.
O: Overall, this is a beer I'd love to have as one of the staple ales in a bar, it won't offend many, while also neither significantly impressing many, and encourages sessioning. This is a good go-to belgian ale that I always notice when I see it on display. Would reccomend to anyone interested in trying a local brew of belgian influence.

This beer is sweet with strong flavor, in a word a really good Belgian. Its dark red color is appealing. It has a nice almost thick mouth feel. It has some Banana tones to it like a Heffewizen which surprised me. It was on of my favorites at the NC Brewgaloo event.
