Ice cold water. Not a bit of flavor. According to it's description, it has a "short finish". Ha! It's so short, it doesn't even reach my ankles.

Draft at the brepub. This works to get a mild Scottish flavour out, the odd water used here adds to the flavour. Dirty yellow colour with a quarter inch of white head. Carbonation bubbles. Served a little too cold. I see the lace, I smell some smoke. Suitable carbonation. Less than average mouthfeel, but nice drinkability like a smoked beer.

A-Light amber color, carbonated.

S-Very bland. Some malt flavors but the definition of average smelling beer.

T-Once again bland, some malt. I wonder how this is a scotch ale, very light and not much roasted malt present.

M-Light and carbonated

D-As I said before, this is a scotch ale. I haven't had many but Sam Adams Scotch Ale and Wee Heavy came to mind and this pales in comparison.

Poured a medium copper hue with a one finger creamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.

The smell featured a light cereal grain aroma.

The taste consisted of a diluted cereal grain with a touch of sweetness.

The mouthfeel was a bit on the thin side.

Overall a decent ale. Not bad for the ABV.

Light gold with not much of a head to speak of. Nice lacing though. This is malty and sweet in the aroma with not much hop action going on. The taste is very light as well with just a kiss of hops and a bready malt flavor. This is a very one dimensional brew, that is quite light in the mouth, but it is quite quaffable.

On tap at the brewpub. A great concept, a low ABV version of a strongly flavored style, probably tough to execute. It comes off a little lacking but I guess it can't be helped with so few fermentables.

Copper colored with lots of lacy foam. Mild sweet malts in the aroma, maybe a hint of smoke. Same with the flavor, mildly sweet but that's about it. Well carbonated, obviously light bodied, not really as remarkable as I'd hoped. Nice experiment in getting flavor into a low ABV beer I guess.

A: Light copper color with good lacing.

S: Sweet malt smell. A little bit earthy well.

T: Sweet malt up front. Not much else going on.

M: Very well carbonated. Very light body.

D: At 3.8 abv this would be a great session beer but it lacks the flavor I crave. Would love to have a bottle of this while doing some yardwork. This is not a good beer but it keeps the Coors light people happy at the pumpstation. George can do much better.
