Bright yellow-gold, cloudy, with a snow white head.

The coriander and orange are there and let themselves be known from the first sip. Wheaty, slightly malty, crisp, and the flavors are all in balance all the way through the swallow. Certainly the most characterful of the beers I've had here. Outstanding on a hot day.

Poured a cloudy medium straw hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was decent lacing and good retention.

The smell featured an earthy and estery yeast with a slight coriander spice.

The taste consisted of a solid doughy grain and distinct yeast esters.

The mouthfeel was of average fullness with a medium chewiness.

Overall a very drinkable wit an excellent example of the style.

On-tap at Albany Pump Station, Albany, NY

A: The beer is hazy pale light yellow in color and has the slightest hints of visible carbonation. It poured with a short bright white head that died down, leaving only a thin collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderately strong aromas of orange peels are present in the nose.
T: Like the smell, the taste has strong flavors of orange peel along with underlying hints of wheat. No spices are perceptible.
M: It feels light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very refreshing and thirst-quenching. It is extremely easy to drink and would make for a good beer on a hot summer day.

A: On-tap at the Pump Station in Albany, poured into what seemed like a small pint glass. . . . A cloudy but bright pale yellow with a small white head. Left some splotchy lacing on the way down.

S: Wheat and yeasty cloves with a hint of grain.

T: Lemony wheat, some cloves again and finishing with an ever-so-slight bitterness for balance. Mild in flavor all around, but this is intended to be a lighter beer. It finishes nice and clean.

M: Light with moderate carbonation and a dry, clean finish.

D: Very good. Went down too easily on a hot summer day.

Tasted many times at the Pump Station, one of several fine breweries in my Albany neighborhood. This beer is fine enough to be a year round favorite, but it really hits the spot on a sticky July afternoon. Unfiltered at 5.6%, it looks just like a Bavarian stype wheat should. Light head, but good lace; gentle, lemony, spicy aroma. But it's all about the taste. Complex and subtle with vanilla, banana and clove followed by layers of fruit and spice as the pint progresses. Balanced with medium body, this beer calls for another.

A cloudy yellow beer. Has a small white head and good lace. The aroma has all the components that I expect from a Wiess or a Wit. Sweet banana and clove, some corriander all dancing back and forth thru the aroma. The taste follows the same path. You get the sweet banana first then the corriander and clove in the middle with a sweet bit of orange peel near the end and a nice little hop snap on the finish.

Decided to give this brew a try yesterday when we went for dinner. Brew had a cloudy soft yellow color to it with a nice bright white head that had a fair amount of retention leaving some nice lacing down the sides. The aroma is very nice wheat scents along with a spicy spice mix of orange citrus and coriander. The flavors of this brew go together perfectly, wheat, citrus and coriander. In my book it definitely is a perfect summer brew. This type of brew is usually hit or miss with me; this one was a big hit. Another outstanding brew from CH Evans.
