This place is located in an old pump house near downtown Albany, NY. It's a pretty upscale brewpub boasting a nice stretch bar and seating area. The place is done up in the old pump house style with the large chains and hooks hanging from the ceiling to give you the old school look.
The service was good. Everyone was dressed up in black pants and white collared shirts with ties. They were quite friendly and inviting. They also were right there to refill my beer when I was out; that's huge in my book.
The beers were good. I had a sampler, but the brown ale stuck out as the superior choice on the menu. The food was also good. They had a large kitchen staff who looked like they could have prepared a meal for an army. I had the soup which was delicious.
This was a cool spot to eat out at. If I lived in the Albany area I would go here quite often.

visited for dinner and beers on a Friday night with a large group (16 people). They've got very large dinning areas, and we made a reservation, so we sat right down.
the brewpub is located in a large historic building, hence the "Albany Pump Station" name. really high ceilings, open space.
good variety of English, German, Belgian, and American styles on tap. I had pints of the brown ale and the porter on cask, both were good.
food spanned from sandwiches, salads, and entrees. Everyone seemed happy with the food, and service was fine.
