Had dinner at the Pump Station while on a business trip to Albany -- found it through Beerfly, although it was later recommended by others.

Very cool looking interior, with a large dining area surrounded by large glass windows that look in on the brewing equipment. We sat in the main dining area, which was a bit noisy (especially in the middle of the room), but very bright inviting. Full but not overcrowded on a Tuesday evening.

There were seven or eight of the C.H. Evans beers on tap here, and all three that I tried (hefeweizen, "Kick-ass" brown, and old ale) were top notch. Sadly, the small-batch RIS had sold out, or I would have had a glass to finish off the night.

The food was surprisingly good as well. I was expecting some simple pub grub to go with the beer, but instead I had an solid meal of baby back ribs, garlic mash, and veg, accompanied by some really nice garlicky house made bread. Serving of ribs was HUGE for the price -- a definite deal -- although I couldn't finish it all. Next time I'll go for the half rack!

Price was $90 for a meal for two, including 6 draught beers -- very reasonable, although I gave it $$$ since it's a little more upscale than your average pub (and hence has pricier meals). Another place to look forward to the next time I'm in Albany.

visited for dinner and beers on a Friday night with a large group (16 people). They've got very large dinning areas, and we made a reservation, so we sat right down.

the brewpub is located in a large historic building, hence the "Albany Pump Station" name. really high ceilings, open space.

good variety of English, German, Belgian, and American styles on tap. I had pints of the brown ale and the porter on cask, both were good.

food spanned from sandwiches, salads, and entrees. Everyone seemed happy with the food, and service was fine.
