The Pump house is the location of the CH Evans brewery. It is located in downtown Albany right off the highway. A large historic brick building greets you as you pull in to the free parking (don't use the pay spots).

I sat down and had 3 different pints:
Gose - a nice salty version of the style!
IPA - full mouthfeel, not a hop bomb (simcoe?), and was well done.
Brown - I believe this was a southern variety. Wonderful grain bill. I can see why this has won so many awards. GET THIS!

I watched the FIFA world cup with some folks in the middle of the afternoon. I was fortunate enough to meet George the brewmaster and we talked world cup and beer for at least 20 minutes while he had a wash bucket in hand. He really knows what he is doing and it showed in the beer he brewed!

Service was good. I didn't have the food, but it looked good and seemed priced appropriately.

Overall: This is the the place to get fresh beer in Albany. The brown ale is world class and they offer a number of specialities that you wouold be hard pressed to find elsewhere ie. Gose.

Hit this place if you are looking for good beer in Albany!

Building is an old brick industrial building with high ceilings, exposed steel beams, with brewery exposed on first and second floor. Always enjoy my meal here. Typically have 10-12ish beers on tap with rotating selection and one cask. Can never go wrong with their Kick Ass Brown.

Food was delicious, and I had their award winning brown dry hopped on cask and that was FANTASTIC.

The draft lines were dirty though, I could taste it immediately.

visited for dinner and beers on a Friday night with a large group (16 people). They've got very large dinning areas, and we made a reservation, so we sat right down.

the brewpub is located in a large historic building, hence the "Albany Pump Station" name. really high ceilings, open space.

good variety of English, German, Belgian, and American styles on tap. I had pints of the brown ale and the porter on cask, both were good.

food spanned from sandwiches, salads, and entrees. Everyone seemed happy with the food, and service was fine.
