Poured from bottle into tulip. After reading a few reviews I was cautious on opening...good thing, as the cork was eager to come out.
Pours a huge froathy head on a amber golden color.
Massive funky aroma! Bready, funky, tart...smell is amazing!
Flavor is malty funky and slightly fruity. The malt is nice balance with the big funky notes and a definite fruity blackberry flavor.
Its dry, full, and soft...really fantastic.
Overall, this is miles away from bad...this is a great saison. The mouthfeel is near perfect for the style, with a great deal of funky rustic character, and then add the hint of fruit...this is well worth every penny. I may go back a grab another bottle...

A-nice red amber color with a nice off-white head and decent lacing

S-grains, berries, yeast, funk

T-grainy malt, blackberry, little blueberry, hint of nuts, tart, slight yeast funk

F-medium body with lively carbonation, crisp

O-overall decent, yet disappointing relative to what I was expecting from this beer, not a great depth of flavor

Pour is reddish amber with a tan head. Nose is peppery, farmhouse yeast, lemon, dusty, and faint candied sugar. Taste is much sweeter, lots of candied sugar, lemon and berry. Lighter pepper but virtually no farmhouse yeast. Very high carbonation and a prickly feel on a light body. A bit sweet, nose is better.

Took the cage off and the cork was rising by itself. Guess this one wanted to be poured!

A - Pours a deep amber with a two finger light khaki head. No real issues with over carbonation or too much carbonation.

S - Really just some saison yeast. Not hugely complex and has a clean smell.

T - Good funky taste, slight berry tartness and the saison qualities we all know.

M - Light bodied, high carbonation and a dry finish.

O - Not a hugely complex beer. The taste is good enough to hold its own, but the smell is weak and the mouthfeel is a bid over carbed.

Poured into a Saint Somewhere wine-style glass. No freshness date.

A- Pours a murky light brown color with a full two inches purplish light tan head that retains quite well before fizzing away to an 1/8 inch head. Fluffy, semi-resilient lacing leaves a thick ring behind.

S- Rich, funky saison yeast aroma that's full of barnyard notes. Very effervescent and musty, also a bit soapy.

T- Tangy and bright with a mild sweetness. I don't get much berry flavor as it just tastes like a regular saison. Either the malt, hops, yeast and fruit are all perfectly balanced or they just didn't use enough berries.

M- This beer practically explodes with carbonation when it enters the mouth. Highly spritzy and champagne-like with a lightish body.

O- Another heavily carbed saison from Bob Sylvester and friends. Good thing I like 'em fizzy. Only downside was how it sort of lacked flavor.

Oh, this was delicious! My notes don’t do it justice.

The cork went flying and the beer started a slow eruption as soon as I removed 2/3rds of the cage, so be careful.

This poured a murky, cloudy amber color with generous foaming.

The berry esters fill the olfactory senses with all sorts of goodness. I picked out a dominant blueberry-like profile, although others didn’t find it as pronounced. There’s definitely a lot going on, with a great aroma from the yeast. I found the underlying blueberry character estery and floral with a yeasty character. So good!
