On a fairly gentle pour into a pint glass this pours with a huge (2/3 of the glass) of white billowy slightly tan head. Lots of cascading from the bottom. Brew is a golden color with some cloudiness.
Earthy notes on the nose with a bit of sweet, sugary caramel. Some sugary floral hops aroma comes to my nose as well. Nice.
Sipping reveals a less sweet flavor than I anticipated. Instead it is more bittering with hops flavors. A bit of cascade hops come through toward the swallow. The swallow brings out a bit of sweet caramel along with the hops, but this is mostly dominated by some bitter hops. A bit disappointing really...not as flavorful as I hoped.
Very tingly carbonation up front on the tip of my tongue with a mid-body feel overall. Semi watery finish though.
Fairly drinkable brew. Not the best IPA I've had in my life, but also not the worst by any means. Easy drinker really.
