Golden yellow with an amber hue and a light haze. Poured with a huge, fluffy, white foam with nice retention. The foam reduced to a healthy, soapy cap that left random sticky lacings on the glass. Pine hop aromas overtop herbal and citrus hop notes with a honey-like sweetness beneath. Slick, oily feel with pleasantly soft carbonation around the edges. Pine hop and herbal hop flavors are dominant but not overwhelming. Light malt sweetness carries the hop flavors with a touch of citrus hop flavor at the end. Finishes with an earthy, bitter pine hoppiness. An easy drinking local seasonal.

Under 5 bucks 22 ounces of fresh hopped goodness from PA, I'm in. Appears a golden copper hue slightly hazed with hop particles, bright white clouds of head floating thick. Intricate thick chunky lacing looks and smells delicious so far, the smell has grapefruit peel, citrus, and tropical fruit notes it's blaring with hops. Earthy from the vine floral hop buds are everywhere in the nose, it's great. Flavor wise a bit unbalanced toward the hops, lacks malt complexity or even a bready quality to balance out the hops, it's 100% hop driven on the palate. Clean bursts of hops with each sip, bitter zest stays with you through each sip leaving a lingering bitterness sometimes this could be off putting but I'm craving hops today, so it's all good in the hood. BTW, there's a ton of yeast sediment in the bottle, leave it in there the beer keeps all the hops without the yeast additions in the glass. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied just due to the raw hop oils alone, never cloying unless your a pansy about hop bitterness. Clean bold bitter finish sticks around between sips, I'm a fan and I'm proud to say I like most of Philly Brewing's creative efforts. Their house yeast strain though seems to have a powdered chalk finish that I don't care for in most of their bottle conditioned offerings, that's a minor complaint here.

Pours a light amber-gold color.

The aroma has a light touch of pine. The flavor has a light pine with some citrus. Nothing pops out. This is a fresh hop ale…which lacked the fresh hop punch I crave. Could very well be past its prime. Wish it was more exciting.

Served on tap at House of 1000 Beers
A - Pours a really nice pale yellow color, 1 finger white fluffy head, moderate lacing
S - Nice fresh aroma, hops, a little pine, and a faint hint of mint.
T - About the same as the aroma, fresh flavors of hops, not agressively bitter, but just right, lighter malts, and some very minor dry citrus
M - Thinner, not bad, but very refreshing.
O - This is a solid APA by all means. I've had it a bomber previous and its a great refreshing quality thats hard to beat.
