See the wife's review below. I can be critical, but often she takes it to the next level.

My first experience with Brewzzi was their collaboration beer with Due South, the India Black Lager, which I enjoyed at the Mack House in Davie. Based on that beer, which I thought to be pretty good, I figured this was a brewery with some potential. But...I was apparently not correct.

This place is pretty polished. Yet another chain-like brewpub, which Florida on a whole seems to be a big fan of. (Thank God for Funky Buddha and Peg's.) There's a rather large bar, plenty of dining space, and TVs everywhere. It's kind of a family-friendly, Italian restaurant / sports bar hybrid. So if that's your thing, you'll like it here. Crowd: annoying, obnoxious, noisy. This is not my kind of place. But the atmosphere doesn't necessarily mean the beer will be bad. Though in this case, unfortunately it did mean just that.

The beer here was mostly swill; off-flavored, generic homebrews, with fancy names like "quad" and "farmhouse ale" attached to them, but no real justification for said monikers. The only beer I found palatable, and yes, even worth returning to, was the Belgian IPA. As for selection in general, I think there were about 8 beers to choose from, and I'm pretty sure I saw people ordering macro bottles as well. Get yer game on. To be fair, the food was quite good, and if you're just going for dinner and not for beer, I can see the appeal.

Again, my wife's review will tell you about the service here, but I'll just reiterate it. In a word: terrible. We sat at the bar, went unnoticed for minutes, then when the guy finally took our order, he disappeared. We had ordered a sampler flight, so I thought maybe he was just taking his time and putting it together, but nope, about five minutes later, I saw him sitting at the bar and watching TV. At long last, another server saw us and I repeated the order, which was served with relative promptness. It was fairly busy, but there were three bartenders (including the one that just decided to leave and watch TV after forgetting our order), so it was nothing unmanageable, and after about 15 mintues, the amount of people at the bar decreased by about half. My hopes of having some food to eat with my sampler was shattered, because the time someone even glanced in our direction to take our food order, we were just about done, and considering the quality of the beer, I had no intent of ordering more. So it was water with my dinner. Then we waited and waited again for the check. Probably the lowest tip I've ever given in my life. Really really bad.

And the icing on the cake. People who know me, know I'm a glassware collector. They had really nice stem glasses here. And they were not for sale. Failure. I almost considered "liberating" one, in compensation for the terrible service (and beer that I paid for), but the opportunity never arose.

I would not recommend this place at all. Unless you have no interest in beer, and are just planning to get a table and eat dinner. Then...I'd probably still not recommend it, especially considering the waiting line to get it. It's just not worth it.

My husband and I were in Florida on a beercation and we figured we would try this place despite the less than stellar reviews. We decided to try the six beers that were on-tap which included a passionfruit blonde ale, the standard blonde ale, a quad, a belgian ipa, a saison and an amber lager. The "best" beer on-tap was the belgian ipa which isn't saying much as it was hardly really representative of the style but it did have a pretty decent hop presence which is more than I can say for the other brews which pretty much tasted like malty water. The quad was the worst of the brews we tried (on our entire beercation)...it was nowhere near what a quad should taste like...I couldn't even finish my half of the taster. In short, the beers were very disappointing even when taking into consideration the chain-style restaurant that Brewzzi is.

The food was decent pub fare...I had the chicken fingers with fries and I received a huge serving which is fine, especially considering the price of the food which was definitely above average (about $14 for chicken fingers and fries). My husband had the bacon&blue cheese burger which he enjoyed. The food was the ONLY redeeming quality of Brewzzi.

The atmosphere was that of a typical chain restaurant. Nothing to write home about especially considering that the football playoffs were on so the crowd was even more obnoxious (think screaming and hollering drunk fans...great!)

Now, the WORST part of our visit was the service. We sat down, waited to be served and a male bartender eventually took our order for beers (after about five minutes) and then he forgot about our order. It was busy but the bar was well-staffed so in my opinion there was no excuse for the slow service and his forgetful/lazy nature (I think he wanted to watch the football game rather than serve us). A female bartender came over and again took our order, which we received promptly. That was the ONLY prompt service of the night. Every time we needed something I had to flag down a bartender and often times we weren't served even after I flagged someone down. We finished our sampler of beers and I would have liked to have a water or soda (since the beer was terrible) to go with my food, but instead I had to eat without a beverage because I could not get service from any of the several servers. We did not leave a tip which honestly we have never done but I might as well have served myself...it would have been more efficient and enjoyable than dealing with the lazy waitstaff at this place!

Skip this place. Go to Funky Buddha for beer or Big Bear Brewing for food/slightly above average beer.

They have a bar right when you walk in with seating all around it. Plenty of booths and tables throughout the whole restaurant. Open kitchen too and brewing equipement located right behind the bar also.

Quality was very limited. They only had several beers on draft due to mechanical issues with equipment earlier last month. Full bar and domestic bottles were also available.

It was a busy Thursday night, but the service was good. Could be longer waits if the weather was cooler due to seating outside and more people inside.

Selection was very limited for beers. Would have liked to try more, but a lot of beers were still fermenting in the tanks and they were running of reserves.

Food was typical bar food and delcious. Prices were reasonable too. Wish we were able to try more of their beers if we had the chance.

I live just down the road from Brewzzi but in all its years here in Boca Raton, I've only stopped in a couple times. I just returned to try their seasonal double bock, which I got to try in October 2010 and have been eagerly waiting its return since then. I enjoy the atmosphere because it's dimly lit inside and the big booths are quite comfortable, especially when it's just me and my wife. It was surprisingly and pleasantly not too packed when we went in during a prime time NFL game and the service was accordingly prompt. I had their standard cheeseburger, rare, and it was cooked to perfection and one of the better ones I've had from a non-burger specialty restaurant. The sweet potato fries were killer, though I was not thrilled with the accompanying basil mayo. My wife had some sort of breaded tilapia dish, which she was not thrilled with and said she could probably make a better one at home. Her side vegetables were bland and most likely of the frozen variety. The beers are enjoyable - lots of standard, safe styles and nothing too experimental or out-of-the-box. Dinner for two with one alcoholic drink each was about $50. Probably modest for a restaurant in central Boca Raton, but seemed a bit pricey for just two people and food that was standard pub fare. I'm interested in joining their VIP club, which offers many different deals, but the initial cost of joining plus the already above-average prices make me feel that my money would be better spent on higher-end craft beer elsewhere. Still, I do enjoy this restaurant and like to have dinner there before going to see a film at the nearby megaplex.

Del Boca Vista, here we come! Our directions were fantastic:
I-95 South to Glades Road Exit, right on Glades, .125 miles on the left.

The entry was on the east side of the building accessible under a long awning with an outdoor patio to the right. Entering, the m.d.s. was to the immediate left. Further left was the restaurant area which was mainly booths with the kitchen along the right wall and the lavs all of the way aft. The bar was flanked on two corners by booth seating, the kitchen to the left and the copper-clad brewhouse and 5 FVs straight back. The pebble copper-topped, square bar was smaller than at WPB, but there, they had a lot of space with which to work.

Beers: 4 standards. Bocca Blonde; Cityfest; Black Duke Dark; Tropical Madness (Peach).
Seasonals: Hoppy Amber; Golden Wheat.

On the way to a new years party in Boca and found we were too early so we searched for a brewery via google on the iphone. Came up with this place. Outside had a line of families waiting to get in. Lots of screaming kids and people who look like they've spent too much time in Olive Garden.

Took a seat at the bar and noted 5 taps. Names were jokey (in a bad way) and non descriptive. Tastes were provided by the bartender who seemed bothered by our requests. The beers on tap were absolutely horrible. Tried the "Barley Wine" - nasty. The wheat was just passable if you held your nose - The "fruit beer" (I should have known better) tasted like stale water with some berries dropped into it. Undrinkable. I could not even finish my pint. Got some nachos to kill the taste of the beer and found they were stale and soggy. The salsa was little more then ketchup.

Hit a dive-bar and skip this dump.

Nice looking inside if you're into that.

The place looks great inside and out. You may have to wait for a table if you go on a fri, sat night. The service is as quick as can be expected when it's busy. The staff seem to know at least the basics of beer but not too much. The selection was pretty good and while the taste of the beers was good to me the food was even better. I think the company I was with made this one seem maybe better than it is but I would recommend this one if your in the area. A bit pricey but not seriously bad. Try the beer sampler.

Stopped here late one night after visiting my mom down in sunny south Florida.

I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere inside because outside it was all sterile, pink, ugly, So. Fla strip mall. The inside was very warm and inviting. It dark like most decent pubs are, but this place had these nice high ceilings above the bar and classy gas lanterns adorning the walls. There is none of the usual beer related paraphernalia all over the walls. It was very comfortable place and I was easily able to see the Celtics take down the Pistons for the Eastern Conference Title from any place in the bar.

The beer was as others have described, aimed at the audience who is to consume it. Namely, those who seek thin beers to pound in the hot humid environs of Fla. This means that the brewers here are likely trying to reach someone who is not living in New England. That being said, I tried several of their beers anyway.

The highlight was the brewmasters reserve, which I was told was a "American Style IPA". The beer had some of the qualities i like in an domestic IPA namely bittering and aroma hops. However, in what was a likely nod to the true audience, the beer lacked body and subsequently mouth feel, probably a result the malts in stock on which the remainder of the pilsners and lagers are built.

The Black Duke had a Carmel Color but was more pilsner like and had a surprisingly bitter profile for a "dark" beer. This surprised me as I thought I would get a more sweeter, malt intensive flavor, but alas I did not. Perhaps i got slipped something else (maybe the Boca Fest beer?), because this beer did not match it's description.

The Boca blonde performed as advertised. It was a true lager and was crisp and clean, which means that it was not for me. The body of these beers did not match my taste, but i do not fault the brewer for this.

Finally, I tried the fruit beer. This tasted like Kool Aid, but less sweet. More like a fruit drink made with at least some real fruit. This was a beer that had virtually no mouth feel and had the aroma of a mild bubble yum flavor. Like the fruited varieties of UFO that Harpoon sells a ton of, this beer likely sells well to people who don't usually drink beer. However, UFO is a much different, and in my opinion, tastier beer than this.

The service was great even though the bar was 30 mins away from closing when i arrived. The server knew some about the beers, but due to my focus on the game, i did not ask many questions.

The selection was Ok, but draft lines were limited to their own beers which left the entire line up at 6 taps. If this brewpub were anywhere else further north, i would expect much more diversity of style.

I didn't try the food, but the beers were cheaper than i pay in Boston, so i can't complain. I will return when i see my mother next time, after all how many brewpubs are there in Boca Raton? When i do return, I will likely stick to the IPA.

Visited recently on a Sunday afternoon for a quick bite and some college hoops.

Atmosphere: The atmosphere is just above average. It's a small chain, though significant steps up from your typical small town chains (e.g. Applebee's, Chili's, TGIFs), it is still a chain. There is mostly indoor seating and some patio seating. It was a slow afternoon when we visited, so the atmosphere may pick up during peak hours.

Quality: Beer quality is also slightly above average. I had the seasonal rotation, a Dunkelweizen, and the CityFest at the suggestion of the the bartender. Again, they were OK. I used to think that you go to a brewpub to try the offerings, you return if you love the offerings. I may augment that line of thinking. I would go back, as it is something different to do in our area. If there was any competition, I believe Brewzzi's would have to step their beer quality up a notch.

Service: The service was good. The bartender was knowledgeable and responsive to all of our requests. My only know would be the food was slow to be delivered, on a relatively slow afternoon.

Selection: Selection is decent with 3 standards and 3 rotating brews. One of the rotating is a fruity beer, the other a stronger 5% to 10% ABV, and the last the Brewer's druthers.

Food: Food is pretty good. I had a tostada salad that was decent and my wife swears by their Margherita pizza. Huge portions, as mentioned in other reviews. Nothing wrong here, just a tad bit expensive.

Visited Brewzzi's on New Year's day. Watched the end of the first half of the Michigan-Florida bowl game. Atmosphere reminded me of typical chain restaurant (think Applebee's and you'll have the picture).

Sat at the bar; only two others were there. The bartender was pleasant and knowledgeable. I ordered the sampler (six samples...Munich Dark, Festbier, Blonde Lager, a Peach Ale, a Pumpkin Ale, and another nondescript ale. In general, all the beers tasted pretty much the same. Each was watery (very little mouth feel) and unbalanced. I didn't finish three of the samples because a was looking for something more. The beer didn't inspire me to order food. There was nothing sufficient enough to pair with food.

Overall, it was ok. I visited from afar and can definitely say that this was a one and done visit.
