This is a malty full beer with a strong body and a pronounced aromatic hop flower and should be enjoyed at a drinking temperature of 45° Fahrenheit. It is brewed as the typical Bavarian festival beer, which was traditionally served in all festival tents in earlier times.

500 ml. bottle poured into a pint glass, showing a lightly hazed golden. Nice retention on surface film after white cap settles. Nose is rich in a strong ale sense, touch or rich lemon malt character. Taste is oddly thin in comparison. Finish is short. Overall really better from the bottle as it drinks heavier than it could otherwise.

L- Paler than gold, it's perhaps mid-straw. Pours with slight haze giving a milkiness. Underwhelming so far! But it has a 3mm white super-fine bubble head that also adhering to the sides of the glass and so should form some decent looking lacing.
S- Pretty mild, I just get some bready grains.
T- Unexpected; it has a sharpness to it! Is it off, or is it some non-standard Bavarian beer, seems unlikely since the lable boasts the brewery is 700 years old...?
F- Dry, with a tartness, a sourness. No sign of ABV%
O- I suspect this is going off. I look at summaries of it's profile elsewhere on the web and I see 'Rich, buttery, packed with malts' and so on. I get none of that, and yes I am 1000% sure this is the exact same beer. Furthermore, it tastes nothing like any other Bavarian festival beer I've ever had before - and I lived in Germany for years and have enjoyed bath-fulls of the stuff. Which makes it very difficult to rate., hmm.. I can finish it... probably. It actually reminds me of a Belgian Gose style beer; and I don't like those either...

Clear, golden colour with a long-lasting creamy head. Smell is light to nothing. Sweet, biscuity pale malt taste with a lightly grassy hop finish. Mild bitterness, clean & refreshing. Mouthfeel is soft & smooth with a good slick. Enjoyable year-round pint.

This lager is a hazy pale amber with a 2 cm foam cap in this tall pilsener glass. The aroma is of beech and beach grass. The flavor is light and malty with a touch of sweetness and pepper. The finish is not particularly dry. This will be refreshing on a warmer day.

Pours to a cloudy, golden hue with modest head that doesn't last long. This is a better than average German pils, good but not great, with medium body and carbonation.

Edel has a thin-to-medium ivory head, a hazy, golden appearance, lots of bubbles, and minimal glass lacing. Aroma is of sharp, intense barley, with some grass, and the flavor is that, too, with mellow bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium, and Edel finishes medium dry.

Pours clear gold in color with one inch head. Taste is cereal grain and honey. Light bodied, medium carbonation and sweet. Makes for a tasty sessionable lager. First beer fro the brewery. Certainly has me interested in more.

Decanted from a 16.9 oz (500 ml) into a Weissbier vase; batch code JF BB K BF, but no production dates.
A: Pours a dark straw to light golden color with an exuberant, foamy, bone-white head (>one inch) with good retention and some lacing.
S: Aromas of fresh toast, honey suckle, and spice. More peppery as it warms.
T: Sweet and malty nicely, but not entirely offset by light bitterness.
M: Light to medium bodied with solid carbonation. Creamy.
O: Refreshing and enjoyable. My first Dortmunder was a positive experience.
