[Suggested Glassware: Shaker Glass]

It poured a clear medium amber with an average (1-2 finger) off white creamy head that offered up great retention, finally reducing to a long lasting thin cap and had excellent sheets of lacing.

The aroma was extremely mild of a light grain malt, mild herbal hops and a light earthy yeast with notes of caramel, a bit of spice and a light fruity ester.

The taste was very different from the aroma. It was bold, very malty and a tad sweet with a big note of caramel that lasted throughout, with the finish having a mild fruitiness and a small bite of spiciness towards the end. The flavor hung around for a decent amount of time proceeding the swallow, with a nice sweet malty taste that was left to linger on the taste buds for a while longer.

Mouthfeel was just under medium in body with a creamy yet mildly dry texture and a soft carbonation.

Overall I was rather taken by surprise with this very impressive organic Amber Ale. It possessed a ton of flavor and an awesome drinkability. This is most likely is the best organic beer I have tasted to date...

On draft at Satchel's in Gainesville. Pours a hazy golden reddish with fluffy white head. The aroma is a sweet honey and bit of spice, maybe a little. The flavor is very similar to a mediocre tripel, with honey sweetness, some definite dry finish, and plenty of carbonation. Rather light on the palate and overall not bad. No need to seek it out, but worth drinking with some pizza.

Great amber ale- pours almost a burnt orange color. Light to moderate head.
Nice floral and citrus smell. Very light spices.
Very drinkable taste.
Pleasant light hoppy after taste.
Very nice drinkable and refreshing beer.
Apparently its organic as well.

Bottle poured into a glass.

A - Looks like a nut brown ale. Not much of a head, but was poured, by the waitress, from the bottle into a glass.

S - Not much to it. Smells like a pilsner with more malt.

T - Tastes like it smells. Definitely does not taste like a red ale, but I've been spoiled by Cigar City's red (Tocobaga) for quite some time. Tastes like a pilsner with more malt and a strong nutty flavor.

M - Very, very light for a 5.5%. A very drinkable beer - not what I was expecting - in fact, I was hoping for something much heavier.

O - Worth a try, but I won't be having another.

Intersting note: Outsource brewed. Made by Inlet Brewing in Jupiter, FL, but brewed in NC...

This is a terrific brew. A friend turned me on to it down here in South Florida, I'm so glad that he did. It has great flavor, color, and texture. And it's great to see it being sold in more nearby locations to my house - including my local 7-Eleven. Awesome! It will always be offered in my home when guests come over!
